Up for sale is my 1979 Pontiac Trans Am Y84 Special Edition. The cowl tag clearly identifies this Trans Am as an authentic Y84 car. Nearly 11,500 SE Trans Ams were built in 1979. This is just 1 of 1107 Y84 400 Pontiac four speeds produced. Car is complete matching numbers. Recent tune up and fluids changed. Car is factory equipped with t tops tilt steering wheel, intermittent wipers, rear defrost, working kenwood am fm cassette stereo, and custom trim group. This is a non air conditioning car along with roll up windows. Original seat covers have been removed and replaced with custom cloth covers. No cracks in the dash and radio hole has not been cut. According to past owners, car is believed to be a 49k mile car. Floors, frame rails, and rear tail pan are in excellent condition. There are two small pin holes on the rear tail pan. Body is very straight with some small minor rust spots down low on the drivers door and one of the fenders. Radiator support, cowl area, and metal dash are rust free. Paint has nicks and minor scratches, but very presentable. Car will be sold with new front grill inserts, tires and professionally refinished gold WS6 wheels. Overall, this is a driver quality Special Edition Trans Am costing half of what others are selling at. Copy of original window sticker and build sheet will be provided.
