Vehicle Detail

Up for your consideration is a very nice, complete and stock 1955 Ford Customline. I've owned this car for 30 years. Has original I-block six engine, 6 volt power system and Fordomatic transmission. Runs, drives and stops as it should. Car runs very smooth and quiet for it's age. Has recent muffler, water pump, hoses and belt. Coker white wall radial tires. Glass is good. Interior is all factory stock except for carpet which was installed about 15 years ago. All other aspects of the interior are from the factory and in very good condition. Trunk is in great shape with updated mat and original spare tire. Car has been lowered approx. 2 inches with different front springs and 1 inch lowering blocks. Original springs for the front are included with the car. Chrome is in very good shape as is the stainless trim. Car has undercoating underneath and is clean and presentable. There is a small body imperfection (see pics) on each door about the same size (1 - 2"). The rest of the body and floors are in very good condition. Car was resprayed base/clear about 16 years ago and still holds a great shine and depth. Everything works on the vehicle except the temperature sending unit. We believe the one on the car is for a 12 volt system which was with the V-8 cars. The temp reads hot when running but the car runs very cool. All other items on the car work properly. The car is by no means a 100 point show car, but is a very nice, clean example of Ford's popular '55-'56 body styles. As in the above, I've owned for 30 years and it has always been driven. I enjoy driving the old cars and this one is no different. It's a great driving car and is very dependable. If you have questions please email them through ebay. Shipping is up to the winning bidder to arrange. Deposit is required for winning bidder. Thanks for looking and best of luck if bidding. Had several inquiries as to "what it takes to buy it", so I'm relisting with no reserve. This is a very good Ford that has been taken care of and preserved over the years. Email questions through ebay, thank you. Thanks again for looking and good luck with bidding. On Apr-17-18 at 04:12:30 PDT, seller added the following information: A question has been asked more than once so I thought I'd add to the description. This concerns the front cross member of the car. '55 - '56 Ford's were known for a weak spot here. This one was no different. The original cross member was taken out and a rust free one was installed. I did this about 20 years ago. It was pointed out to me at a car show and I didn't know at the time of the weak spot. So yes, the cross member was replaced and the current one is in very good condition as is the rest of the underside of the car. Also, brakes and wheel cylinders have been replaced over the years. The latest was about 3 to 5 years ago when the front shoes were replaced along with one of the cylinders. Honestly the car has been very maintenance free and a good runner over the 30 years I've had it. I've put approx. 40,000 miles on it since I purchased. Thanks again for the questions and good luck.
