2004 Mercedes E320, 35,200 miles 3.2L SOHC SMPI 18-Valve Aluminum-Alloy V6 Engine Rated 19 – 27 MPG $11,900, total amount in car $18,375. Very picky retired senior engineer, long term Mercedes owner (over 40 years), and local Mercedes Club Director offers this near perfect car for sale. The ‘E’ Class Mercedes are renowned for their longevity, stylish good looks, terrific handling, smooth and quiet ride combined with Mercedes prestige and decent gas mileage. If you google these cars you will see that only about 3 things go wrong with them, cracks in the control arm bushings, crankcase position sensors, and motor mounts. This car has had all three replaced, in addition to work that I have had done in being picky to make it perfect for myself. This particular car is an excellent low mileage vehicle that has had the following work done within the past year/5k miles: New fuel tank, fuel pump and regulator (done under factory recall) New battery, crankshaft positioning sensor New motor & transmission mounts all tires have near new tread with two being new within the past year. New brake ABC pump (Mercedes installed & warrantied) Front lower balljoint (dust cover was cracked) A/C system fully flushed and recharged In addition the car has received the full Mercedes 37,500 mile scheduled service which included: Flush & replace Mercedes blue OEM radiator fluid Flush & replace Brake Fluid Service Transmission New Spark Plugs (12) Oil change & filter Replace all Cabin and air intake filters The rear brake pads were replaced at 34,900 miles and the front brake pads and rotors were replaced with Mercedes OEM parts at 35,100 miles. This car runs, drives and handles great, I had purchased it anticipating its use for Mercedes Club events but have purchased an ‘S’ class so am selling this one, I am into it for over $18K (please see summary sheet pic). The car has all options plus the panoramic glass roof and navigation. Superior window tint throughout, including the front windshield. Rear seats fold down to create enormous trunk (61” deep). The car has recently been through Fletcher Jones Mercedes Benz and completed a full inspection. Carfax on hand to verify mileage, car was originally a Manhattan, NY car, owned by an older female who only drove the car on weekends in the city, never over 30 miles an hour. The car shows one accident, at 20,853 miles. I was told that the lady had been in a parking mishap with another vehicle which caused her car to require a new left headlight and bumper paint. I had the car inspected prior to purchase and the inspection confirmed the report, absolutely no underside repairs and no new parts other than the control arms which I had installed. When I got the car it had so much torque it was as though the car was just being broken in. This vehicle should provide the purchaser with years of trouble free driving, it is mechanically as near new as can be, and is cosmetically stunning. The only exceptions being 2 small scratches, each so miniscule they do not photograph, and a flea bite on the windshield which I would have had replaced but it has a $200 special carbon heat coating which I had installed.
