Vehicle Detail
PHOTOS I will ad several more photos in a day or so. SELLING PRICE I also have it advertised locally. Feel free to make an offer if you want and if I accept it, it's yours. THIS VEHICLE COMES WITH A FREE WARRANTY I am the only person on Ebay giving a warranty for FREE for a vehicle because I am 110% confident in the condition of what I sell, and am also well aware of the huge risk and fear some people have of buying a car without driving it or their concern of it soon having a major problem. The warranty is for 7 days or 500 miles which will be in writing and provided to the buyer at the time of the sale. It will cover the engine, transmission, alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and the differential. If any of these items fail during that time I will either pay for the item, pay to repair it, or will refund the entire sale price of the vehicle. These various options are up to my discretion. EBAY FEEDBACK Ebay feedback is extremely important . I have received xlnt comments from others whom have bought cars from me and most of the cars I listed have sold prior to the auctions scheduled end date to buyers that used the "Buy It Now" feature. I am not a dealer . I am merely selling off a large collection of cars we have had for years and some of our relatives cars that don't have an Ebay account, however, I am a mechanic and professional vintage Muscle car restorer and some of the cars I built sold for world record prices at Barrett Jackson and other venues so I know cars extremely well. LENGTHY AD DESCRIPTION My apologies for the rather long ad, however, I think that someone whom is considering buying a vehicle, especially without seeing it in person, and from a person they don't know, should have as much detailed information they can about it and the seller. I see no point in posting copies of the original Brochures like some people do possibly trying to make their vehicle seem better than it might actually be. PHOTOS If you want a photo of something specific, I will gladly take a close up high resolution one for you. There is nothing that needs to be hidden or excused away on this beautiful car and I am more than happy to prove it. VEHICLE HISTORY REPORT It has a clean history report from Autocheck which shows no accidents. I can email it to anyone that wants to see it. GENERAL DESCRIPTION This is a beautiful 2006 Crown Victoria that is completely stock with no aftermarket modifications. The color is a beautiful Cobalt Blue Metallic and looks very elegant and stately. It is loaded with the usual power options including power windows, power door locks, power ABS brakes, and power drivers seat, and has an am/fm stereo. Everything works properly and the air conditioning blows ice cold even in 100 degree weather which it was when we drove it the other day. It also has the Police Interceptor High Performance option which is identified in the VIN by the digits "P71". It is a "Civilian" model which means it was not a Police pursuit vehicle. It is simply a luxurious Crown Victoria that was ordered with the high performance package. Information regarding this option is posted further below. It is an original Southern California automobile that has been extremely well maintained every 6 months or 6000 miles, and has never been stored near the ocean or driven on salted roads etc, which accounts for the nice condition that the entire automobile is in. It runs and drives like new and is actually the fastest car in its class by far for 2006, and it will leave a standard Crown Victoria in the dust just in case you need to get somewhere in a hurry. It also handles and corners far better than a standard Crown Vic just in case you ever felt like entering it in a local Nascar race! It has the original title and has never been transferred and it is NOT salvaged. It also has a clean Carfax/Autocheck report which I can email to anyone that is interested in seeing it. IDLING HOURS The 2006 and later models have a meter that counts how long the vehicle has been left idling in park since it was new. If you are interested in one of these vehicles and the seller does not have the idle hours listed, you should ask how many it has since idling is one of the worst things one can do to an engine and some of the cars have 600 up to nearly 2,000 idle hours on them. This car has only 245 idle hours which is the lowest amount of idle hours I have ever seen on one of these cars with this many miles. The low amount of idle hours means that this car was only left idling for a few minutes when it was first started for the day and not left idling very long any other time. FUEL ECONOMY Contrary to what you may have heard, the Crown Victorias with the Police Interceptor upgrade get slightly BETTER mileage than the ones without it if both vehicles are driven the same way. This is due to the dual exhaust and high flow air box and special ignition timing. SERVICE HISTORY It was inspected and serviced every 6 months regardless of mileage and it was just serviced which included fluid changes and suspension lubrication. MANUALS It has all the original manuals and safety cards which are in excellent condition. EMISSIONS TEST It just easily passed the stringent California emissions test. SAFETY WARNING LIGHTS There are no lights on. ENGINE COMPARTMENT There are no leaks and the entire engine compartment looks nearly like it just rolled off the showroom floor. INTERIOR It is light camel colored cloth almost like a short velour and is in xlnt condition. There are no holes or other wear marks on the seats. There are a couple very small and fairly light marks which may easily clean off although I have not tried yet because they are not bad enough to bother me. The first seat photo is the drivers seat base. As can easily be seen, it is very nice and the cloth doesn't even have any wrinkles in it. All the other seats are as nice or nicer. The headliner looks like new. The dash and door panels are very nice and are not faded or scratched up and do not have any holes in them. The steering wheel is like new with no wear and is not dried out from being exposed to the sun. It does not smell like an ash tray or cheap aftershave or a cheap "Air Freshener". BODY There are 1 or 2 tiny thumb sized dings on it which are barely noticeable, both of which a paintless dent person could remove but they aren't noticeable enough to bother with in my opinion, and probably won't even show up in a close up photo. There is zero rust and it has never been driven on salted roads or stored near the ocean where the salt air could corrode it. There are no waves or ripples in sides of the body and I posted side angle photos t o show how straight it is. The undercarriage is also very clean and not caked up with mud or oil or road grime etc and there isn't even any surface rust on the bottom side. PAINT The paint has an excellent shine and there is zero peeling, lifting, or heavy fading. There are a few small scratches on the bumpers but no gouges in them, and there are a few scratches mainly on the sides, but they are not down to the metal and not obvious enough from several feet away to detract from the general appearance as you can see in the photos. There are some extremely tiny micro cracks in the paint n the hood and deck lid from the hot California sun but you need to be no more than 1 foot away and have to look closely to see them. The door jambs and bottom edges of the doors are very clean and look nearly like new. UNDERCARRIAGE It was dusty from being driven but there was no oil or grease or road tar on it etc. All I did was hose it off at the local self serve car wash then spray some quick detailer on it and took photos. It is extremely clean as can be seen in the photos, and looks as close to showroom new as a used car of this year can. Even the factory aluminum driveshaft still looks nearly new and still has the factory paint stripes on it. BRAKES They work perfectly and the rotors or not heavily scored. STEERING There is zero play on the steering. If you move the wheel just 1/4" the car starts veering to the side. If you hit the brakes hard at 40 mph with your hands off the steering wheel, the car stops perfectly straight. SUSPENSION All the ball joints and rue rod ends and bushings are within spec and there are absolutely no klunks, squeaks, or rattles in it when hitting bumps and pot holes. TIRES They are the Goodyear RSA models with around 70% tread left on one and 40% tread left on the others with no uneven wear. P71 POLICE INTERCEPTOR OPTION INFORMATION My apologies for the long post but I thought it would be helpful for those that are not familiar with what the P71 Police Interceptor option means/is so I will just mention the major differences. In general, it has more power and far quicker acceleration than the standard Crown Vic's which is partially due to the different gear ratio they have. It also has handles and corners far better than a standard Crown Victoria, plus it is built to take excessive abuse and will therefore outlast a standard model by a fair margin. These cars have been known to typically go over 350,000 miles with just basic routine maintenance. REINFORCED FRAME - Not available on any other model. DUAL EXHAUST - This is available on other models, however, it is very uncommon, plus the dual exhaust on other models has resonators to quiet the exhaust and these reduce power slightly . This system on other models is made from standard steel which will eventually rust out. The Police Interceptor system does not have resonators, plus, it is made from stainless steel so it will basically never go bad. HIGH OUTPUT ALTERNATOR - Not available on other models. It puts out a whopping 130 amps at idle and 200 peak amps. ENGINE OIL COOLER - Not available on other models. This cooler increases the life of the oil and the life of the engine. TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER - Not available on other models. This cooler increases the life of the oil and the life of the transmission. POWER STEERING COOLER - Not available as an option on the base model. ALUMINUM DRIVESHAFT - Not available on other models. This increases the acceleration rate and top speed slightly. TOP SPEED LIMITER - This is set to 135 mph. It is set to only 106 on all other models. HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTER PROGRAM - This provides more horsepower and slightly later and firmer transmission shifts. Not available on other models. TRANSMISSION - Upgraded parts not available on standard model. DIFFERENTIAL RATIO - Both 3.27 and 3.55 were available for the Police Interceptor. Standard Crown Vic's have 2.80 and other ratios are not available for them. ENGINE POWER - 250 HP @ 4900 RPM, 287 TQ @ 4100 RPM VS 224 HP @ 4800, 275 TQ @ 4000. INSPECTION I encourage people to see and drive the car before bidding so they can see first hand how nice it looks and drives and and I am available to show it most anytime. 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010
