Vehicle Detail
This is a Cheney Triumph 500. You can look up Eric Cheney on the internet and see his Cheney Triumph ISDT bikes as well as others. Mileage indicated is not accurate as this has no speedometer/odometer. This is a beautiful bike. Ceriani 35mm forks, conical alloy hubs front and rear, alloy fenders, Cheney nickel plated frame (nickel is dull, but could be polished quite a bit more). I completely rebuilt the motor. This is the late Triumph 500 motor that has the crankshaft carried in bearings on both sides. The earlier 500's looked the same but the timing side of the crankshaft was supported by a bushing. This has all new bearings, pistons, rings, valve guides, valves, transmission bearings and more. New chain and tires. Has Boyer electronic ignition with Podtronics voltage regulator (the kind with the capacitor to improve starting) and a small sealed 12 volt battery all mounted in the airbox next to the Uni foam filter. I added the Lucas MCH headlight and the cute little tail light. The lighting circuit, in addition to the headlight buttons, has a separate toggle switch. The headlight is mounted on Ceriani headlight ears, the tail light is mounted on rubber rear number plate mount. This has the (I believe they are original) wrap-under open exhaust pipes that have a glorious sound - that is not so welcome by many neighbors. Title is clear California title in my name. The title allows it to be ridden on the street but you will want to add a horn and a speedometer. Registration is currently "non-op" as I don't ride this on the street. Buyer handles and pays for shipping. I could take it to your shipping company receiving dock if needed.
