Here for your consideration is my 2002 Honda AP1 S2000. Currently registered and titled to me. I’m the third owner, and have some history on the car including the two previous owners’ names and addresses (Georgia and South Carolina -- a Southern car since new,) along with a handful of service records from the car’s early days and the original factory window sticker! Please see below for lots of details about the car. I am located on the north side of the Atlanta metro area, and can help with shipping or other pick-up arrangements. Engine: 167K miles (see odometer – will change slightly as I still enjoy the car on the weekends and just drove it this past weekend after that picture was taken.)Car starts with a push of the button and exhibits no warning lights or malfunction indicators when operating. Runs excellent, no smoke or noises.New K&N air filter, new serpentine drive belt, recent oil and filter change. Transmission: Clutch does engage at the top of the pedal travel and just recently (3/24) it slipped during a quick shift in the upper RPM range. The car is still driveable as-is, but will need attention soon and the price has been set accordingly. Original leather-wrapped shift knob was pretty worn so it was replaced with an S2000 CR-type round ball – see picture. Mechanical: Steering, brakes, suspension, exhaust are all in good order and functioning. AC is cold, heat is hot, cruise control works correctly.All lights, wipers, blinkers, horn, etc work. Exterior: Being a 16-year-old car, it has a ding and a scratch here and there, but overall the car looks good. All VIN tags are in place and matching with the exception of the rear bumper which has been replaced twice due to minor accidents. See pictures for VIN tags.The car seems to have spent several years in a car port facing the sun and therefore the hood and tops of the rear view mirrors are faded a bit but still shine and the car looks good from 10 feet. The trunk lid, doors, fenders and quarters all shine nicely. The pictures included here were taken on two different days -- one sunny and one overcast -- to show how the Suzuka Blue color can look different depending on the lighting.All four original wheels are in good shape and are wrapped in matching BF Goodrich tires with good remaining tread.Windshield has two small rock chips that have been repaired and are not in line of sight. No cracking or spidering.Headlights were replaced due to haziness with aftermarket units that include LED running lights and halos around the projectors – see picture. Interior: Blue leather seats are in good condition with the driver’s side showing normal bolster wear and some cracking on the seat bottom. No holes, tears or other issues. Dash, door panels and carpet are all good. A brand new set of Honda Accessory full-length floor mats was just installed.Convertible top has been replaced and is in good condition and includes the glass back window and rear defroster. The power top works great and both windows lower automatically along with the top when the switch is operated.Power windows, locks and trunk release all working fine. Factory Honda CD player is in place and works fine too, including the remote controls to the left of the steering wheel.Keyless entry is functional, including the remote trunk release. Miscellaneous: Original owner’s manual, warranty guide, window sticker, radio code card, two keys and remotes and the wheel lock key are all included and pictured.Convertible top cover (boot) included and in very nice condition. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I’ve tried to represent the car the best I could, but at the end of the day, it’s still a 16-year-old used car and is not a perfect show queen. With low-mile S2000s steadily increasing in value, prime examples are starting to get out of reach for the average enthusiast. This is a good car that can be tinkered with and enjoyed the way Honda intended, all for minimal investment. As prices continue to climb, a car with higher miles is perfectly gratifying. Since it’s a Honda after all, it will still provide many more miles of driving pleasure.
