Mostly stock 1967 Triumph Bonneville. It had a complete nuts and bolts restoration about 20 years ago with 826 miles on it since. The engine and wheel work (+) was done by BBC Triumph in Ventura. The frame was powder coated, and all the nuts and bolts were anodized by a shop in the Valley. I was forced to sell it annonmously in a divorce (bit of a story) and bought it back a few years ago out of the blue when it was listed on Ebay. Century Motorcycle in San Pedro spruced it up upon return including new tires. Probably the biggest visual modification in the 'restoration' was that the gas and oil tank were chromed, and several of the bits including the tank emblem were gold plated. It would be mostly stock in appearance with a repainted tank and side cover/oil tank. I liked the look of Brough Superiors etc when I put it together 20 years ago, anyway that was the idea. It has Boyer electronics for easy starting, and some new gauges. As I understand it, it was the fastest production motorcycle in it's day and yet did not have very good stopping power with it's single shoe leading brake. So, a common modification was a dual leading shoe front brake, probably 1968. It also had a couple other 1968 touches including the ignition on the front fork which made more sense to me than it being on the left side cover. It also has Hagon shocks w/o covers. It was recently was gone over by BA Moto in Signal Hill who put in new clutch plates, rebuilt the carbs, and gave it a good look over. It runs great! I haven't ridden it much, hence the sale.
