Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1955 Chevy Truck 3100 First Series*Custom Flatbed with Oak Side Rails*Fully boxed and painted Frame with custom built Gas Tank installed in between Frame Rails*Mustang II Front Suspension with Cross Drilled Rotors and Power Steering*C3 Corvette Independent Rear Suspension with Disc Brakes*Muncie Wide-Ratio 4-Speed and Hydraulic Clutch*Nicely Built 350 V8 Chevy with Vortec Heads*Ron Francis Wiring with Frame mounted AGM Battery*Custom Interior and Seats*Lots of other custom work and touchesVery low miles and use on rebuilt Engine and Transmission. Paint looks nice, but has numerous imperfections and would need some work or a respray to be considered "Show Quality". The truck has spent most of its life as an unfinished project in the garage. I inherited it, brought it to its current condition, and now we're moving out-of-state so I would like someone else to enjoy it. It runs and drives very well and the Engine/Trans/Rear End are matched up really nicely. It's a very unique truck and draws attention wherever it goes. Please feel free to take a look at a walk-around video I took:WalkAround Video Also, see and hear it run:Hear and See it RunLet me know if you have any questions. Thanks a lot for looking!*If the Buyer would like to arrange/pay for shipping that's great, but I'm only willing to accommodate a local pickup on my end* * Edit* Recent Q/A's*: POTENTIAL BUYER:Does it need any work to make it a good cruiser, how old is motor jon87gli:I think it's a good cruiser now. The engine block is from a mid-70's Chevy Van and the Heads are probably from a 1980's/90's Chevy truck. The heads were modified to accept screw-in rocker studs (this is a desirable modification that allows for a more aggressive cam profile) and also has aluminum roller rockers. The engine and heads were rebuilt approx. 10 - 15 years ago but just sat in the frame as an unfinished project until very recently. It has very little run time and only about 400 miles on it. I tracked down the original builder after I inherited the truck and could provide this info. to whoever ends up with the truck. Feel free to ask any more questions, Jon POTENTIAL BUYER:Any leaks, power or manual brakes, power steering, thanks jon87gli: Not really. It had a rear main seal leak and I replaced the seal. Every once in a while there will be a tiny drip back there, but from what I understand that's pretty standard for the older two-piece rear main seals. Also, after a lot of driving I sometimes noticed a little power steering fluid around the vent-hole in the reservoir cap, so it may have some air in the system? It has manual brakes, but with 4 wheel discs it works really well and has nice direct pedal feel (In my opinion).
