Vehicle Detail
This bike has a clean Idaho title. To much to list on this fresh barn find! I'm a bike collector and a friend called me a couple weeks ago regarding this custom built CBX Turbo beast. The owner passed away and his wife found over $30,000 in receipts he paid to build this beast. (If he was still alive she probably would have killed him.) The receipts in the photos show only $15K of the parts purchased. There are many more custom parts, frame fabrication, new tires, custom suspension, many hours of labor, etc. The motor has been totally rebuilt with a turbo kit, huge carburetor, frame extensively modified, modern inverted front forks with dual disks, rear single side swing arm (Ducati?), custom side covers claiming 175 hp (not verified), custom front fender, custom gas tank, custom leather dash, custom gages, custom LED turn signals, LED brake light, LED head light, custom leather seat/rear cowl, and like-new tires. It was a dusty barn find when I picked it up and it had not run for years. I don't believe the bike was ever completely put back together and actually run on the road. So I assume the mechanical components were basically like new when it was parked. Many of the turbo oil lines and electrical connections were either missing or never connected. There are a few oil leaks. After many hours chasing loose wires, connecting missing oil lines and bleeding the front brakes we finally got it running well enough to take out on the road and run through all the gears. It runs pretty darn well but there is still some fine tuning that needs to be done. The lights all work except the rear brake switch. The front brake switch works. The rear brake hardly works. The battery won't hold a charge after sitting very long. I don't think there is a horn. I haven't even washed the bike yet. Don't expect a cosmetically beautiful bike here. It is a dusty bike that has been sitting for years. I just wiped off some of the dust here and there. There is surface rust on turbo exhaust and engine intake manifold. The engine oil looks like new. I put new premium gas in the tank which looks like it was creamed inside. For a video to hear it run go to https://youtu.be/2d3PaQHXda4 There is not a BUY IT NOW price so don't ask. I will let this run 5 days through the auction and if it doesn't sell at reserve price we will list again at a lower reserve until it sells.
