THIS VEHICLE COMES WITH A WARRANTY I have been an auto mechanic and restorer for 40 years so I know cars inside and out, and am also well aware of the huge risk and fear some people have of buying a car without driving it, therefore, I am giving a 7 day or 500 mile warranty which will be in writing and provided to the buyer at the time of the sale. It will cover the engine, transmission, alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and the differential. If any of these items fail during that time I will either pay for the item, pay to repair it, or will refund the entire sale price of the vehicle. These various options are up to my discretion. LENGTHY AD DESCRIPTION My apologies for the rather long ad, however, I think that someone whom is considering buying a vehicle, especially without seeing it in person, and from a person they don't know, should have as much detailed information they can about it and the seller. I see no point in posting copies of the original Brochures like some people do possibly trying to make their vehicle seem better than it might actually be. PHOTOS If you want a photo of something specific, I will gladly take a close up high resolution one for you. There is nothing that needs to be hidden or excused away on this beautiful car and I am more than happy to prove it. VALUE These BI-FUEL models are nearly non existent and almost never come up for sale because the people that own them will not sell them. You won't find anything that comes even close to this truck in any brand or any model, especially since this one also comes with a warranty. EXTENDED DRIVING RANGE The gasoline tank is 26 gallons. The NG tank is around 12 gallons. This provides 38 gallons of fuel, so you can drive around a bazillion miles between fill ups if you want. NG CONVERSION COST This factory option added around $5,000.00 to the original cost of the truck in 2004. The cost of an aftermarket kit today is around $4000.00 with the tank but without installation and this does not include the correct ignition timing curve or the special internal engine parts needed to prevent the propane or NG from prematurely damaging a straight gasoline engine. BI-FUEL OPTION DESCRIPTION AND RELIABILITY This truck runs on gasoline or CNG. Gasoline costs around $3.65 a gallon and CNG costs around $2.10 throughout most of California and Arizona etc. This is NOT an aftermarket CNG conversion. This truck came from Ford with the CNG system which was designed by Ford. Unlike a vehicle that had an aftermarket CNG or Propane system added to it, Ford designed and built this engine and computer control system specifically to also run CNG. This includes the use of special parts in the engine like hardened valves and hardened valve seats, and a different ignition timing timing curve program in the computer for when it is running on CNG etc. Ford called these Trucks Bi-Fuel, and they are incredibly rare. In fact, I have only seen 2 on the internet. Ford built them from 1997 thru 2004. The 1997 thru 2002 models used a CNG system that was designed by an outside aftermarket CNG company, and this system is completely different than the 2003 and 2004 system. The early system also used a part called a Compu Valve, and these valves proved to be very troublesome, so Ford designed an entire system themselves for 2003 which included a new valve to replace the Compu Valve, and it is the same system used in 2004. This system is in fact the best CNG system ever built to date. In fact, the best CNG systems today use the Ford Valve that was designed 18 years ago. ENGINE LIFE OF CNG VS GASOLINE ENGINES If an engine is specially built to use CNG as well as gasoline there is no difference in engine life. I am aware of a few older factory Ford built CNG only vehicles that have over 300,000 miles on them. Shortened engine life occurs when adding propane or CNG to a gasoline engine that was not purposely built to also run on the gases. GENERAL VEHICLE DESCRIPTION This is a nicely loaded 4 wheel drive with the rare extended cab, and it is virtually unheard of with the big 5.4 V8 and 4wd option. It also has a a factory class III tow hitch and the heavy duty suspension option. It has all the other usual power options, plus it has cruise control and factory AM/FM Cassette and CD player. It also has a side mount Weather Guard "Pork Chop" style tool box, which cost around $450.00. The tires are Wranglers with only around 5,000 miles on them and there is no unusual wear from bad shocks, worn suspension, or improper alignment etc. PERFORMANCE It runs and drives as close to showroon new as is possible. It's extremely fast for a truck if it is floored. There are no squeaks or rattles in the suspension when hitting bumps. There is zero free play in the steering. If you move the steering wheel just 1/4", the truck starts to turn. F250 (7700) SUSPENSION OPTION This option is referred to as the 7700 option which is also on the emblem on the tailgate. It means that it has heavy duty shocks, PLUS the F250 suspension which is capable of carrying and/or towing much heavier loads than the standard F150 suspension. MILEAGE AND COST SAVINGS OF CNG I drove this truck 135 miles on the freeway at 70 mph and 12 miles in city traffic yesterday using CNG only. I was carrying additional weight of 600 lbs. I was not driving conservatively. It got exactly 16.5 mpg. The EPA rating for this exact truck using CNG is 15 mpg, and that is without an additional 600 lb payload. INTERIOR The entire interior is very clean for a 14 year old truck. It has a rear seat and rear doors. All the seats are extremely clean with no stains. The side where the driver gets in is not broken down at all like many others are and there is no excessive wear on it. The seat foam were a driver sits is also just like new so it didn't have a heavy driver in it that could cause the seat foam t get smashed down. The other seats were rarely ever sat in. The paint on all the knobs and buttons still looks like new as they were rarely used. AIR CONDITIONING It blows at 42 degrees at the vents on a 90 degree day.
