Vehicle Detail
Please scroll down below this description for tons of detailed pics of the bike. Depending on your internet speed, they may take a while to load. I have the listing set up to accept bids only from US bidders in an effort to prevent scammers from ruining the auction. If you are a legitimate bidder outside of the US and you have a way to have the bike picked up at my location without it being crated, e-mail Chris Bednas at anyoldbike@gmail.com. Provide me with your ebay ID and confirm that you can arrange international shipping and have the bike picked up uncrated at my location near Chicago, and I will add you to the list that allows you to bid. This is a pretty rare bike and it is in absolutely amazing condition. A true survivor with 16,436 miles. It has some minor cosmetic flaws as seen in the many pics below, but it is truly gorgeous overall. It has a torque converter like the automatic transmission in a car, so there is no clutch lever. Just put it in gear, twist the throttle, and off you go. It has two gears. Low is good from 0-60 mph. High can be used from a standstill as well, but it's intended more for highway use, as it will get the bike up to 100+ mph. The bike has been sitting for a while so it will need the carbs gone through for it to run. There is no battery but it does fire with a jump and some starting fluid spray. However, it will not stay running until the carbs are cleaned out. The engine sounds good and doesn't blow any smoke. The gas cap, fuel gauge sending unit, and the petcock are missing. The tank sat with these items missing, so there is surface rust inside but it can be cleaned out with one of the treatments. The front brake caliper will need to be cleaned out as well because it is sticking. The airbox is not installed but it is included. There are 155 pictures below detailing the condition of the bike. Please look at all of them carefully and ask any questions you have before bidding. You can call Chris at 773-474-1744, e-mail me at anyoldbike@gmail.com, or contact me through ebay. It's located in Berwyn, IL, just west of the city of Chicago. If you are local and would like to see it in person, please call 773-474-1744 to set up an appointment. Shipping a motorcycle can be expensive, so be sure to look into it before bidding. The zip code is 60608 to help in figuring shipping. My recommendation for a great shipper is Danny at D&K Services. He can be reached at 973-534-7823. Winning bidder picks up in Chicago or arranges for/pays for all shipping/crating. I can deliver it locally for $1.50 per mile round trip ($20 minimum). $100 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of auction close. Remainder via one of the standard payment methods within seven days. No PayPal for remainder unless you contact me first. The bike is to be picked up within three weeks of auction close. $25 per week storage fee after that.
