You are considering an extremely nice, all original 2001 Classic Triumph Bonneville. I am the 3rd owner of this bike. The first owner was a certified Triumph mechanic in Ashville, NC. The second owner was an older gentleman from Birmingham, AL. who owned an explosives company. He never rode the bike, but instead kept it in a large carpeted garage that was like a large man cave with other collectible cars, boats and motorcycles. This is the reason for the super low mileage. He had a shoulder injury which kept him from riding shortly after he purchased it. The day I bought the bike from him and rode it home, it was the first time the bike had been ridden in over 10 years. It had only been cranked periodically and kept on a trickle charger. Since I purchased the bike I have not had much time to ride it either. Mainly to my office and back on nice days. I am building a cabin in the mountains and it has ended up taking most of my free time. This is the reason I am selling the bike. I have had several Triumphs with many more miles on them and they are fantastic, super reliable bikes and it pains me to sell this one, but sadly my riding days are probably over. This bike is the first year model of the re-introduced Bonneville by the re-imagined Triumph Motorcycle Company. This bike is super over engineered and I have friends who have well over 100k miles and up to nearly 200k miles on these bikes with only normal maintenance. This bike was made in England at the original Hinckley plant before the fire. This bike is all original with dealer installed: Chrome kickstandCenterstandChrome cam coverChrome chain guardChrome grab railAir injection deleteTank knee pads This bike is virtually flawless and is about as close as you are going to find to stepping into a time machine and going back to a Triumph dealership in 2001 and buying a new Bonneville. It is like a museum piece. The only scratch I can find on it is on the left rear view mirror and it is very small. I have service records, and about the only thing I can think that this bike may need, having just rode it today is that there is a little hesitation in the throttle. I believe this is due to the bike simply not having been ridden. If I was to keep it I was going to take it to my Triumph mechanic and have him take a look at the pilot jets. That said... The bike may just need to be ridden regularly and all that may clear up.
