Vehicle Detail
This posting is for a 2005 GTI Automatic/Tiptronic failed transmission whole car. I can shift through 1st and 2nd gear but not 3rd, 4th or 5th. Car has 104,000 miles. From what I can tell some people have had these issues with this car, some people end up replacing the solenoids in the valve body and the car starts shifting properly, I just don't have $300 for parts. Strut BarCarbon Fiber hoodOriginal rims (2 plastidiped 2 not)Brand new tires.brand new rotors and pads.new struts/shocks not yet installed made by APX.Car is lowered.Replaced high pressure line.Steering rack will eventually need to be replaced I was considering doing a swap to a 6 speed manual, but that's about $500 for a donor car and I don't have that kind of money. The shifter is a little difficult to work with, it's kind of hard to get it out of park, but it does get out of park. I looked it up and it's a relatively easy fix, but now that I can't get out of 2nd gear I'm not willing to do the work necessary and I don't have the money to fix this car. The green and gold paint is plastidip and can be removed, underneith the body it is a red car and the front bumper is black. Message me with any questions.
