Vehicle Detail

This bike is an older restoration, built to be a rider, not a garage queen. It has signs of use, and has usage modifications. The charging system has an electronic regulator to give 12 volts for better lights. It has a later model dual leading shoe front brake to make stopping better. The tires are real K70 Dunlops, the tubes are Dunlops, also. The motor was completely rebuilt with Black Diamond valves, and the lowest compression pistons I could find to deal with modern fuels. The carburetors were bored, and re-sleeved for reliability. All the jets and needles were replaced. Of course, the sludge trap was cleaned, and bearings checked and replaced as necessary. There is an external oil filter from a T140 to keep the sludge trap clean. The chain is a new Tsubaki. The wheels were disassembled one spoke at a time to clean and polish them. All the original useable nuts and bolts were cleaned and re used. Those that were not usable were replaced with SAE stainless and lock nuts for reliability. No threads were changed, only through bolts were replaced, the footpeg plates, fender bolts, etc. I tried to keep as many original parts as possible. (I sorted through barrels of nuts and bolts to get the correct items where necessary.) I had the paint done at a friend's body shop, so the colors are not exactly correct, but as close as possible for two part auto paint. The instruments were restored by Nissonger to original specs, and work fine. The decals are worn, just as the first ones did. The "World's Fastest" on the tank fell off, just like they did back in the sixties! The fuel tank was cleaned, and epoxy sealed before painting. There is no internal rust or leaks. The ignition is by points, as they work fine, and are easily adjusted. Of course, all the ignition parts are new, The wiring harness is new, and all connections have been first cleaned, then protected with dielectric grease. The seatpan is original, but the padding and cover are new. The bike runs fine, starts first kick, and idles like it should. The last serious ride was about 300 miles through the mountains of Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. In the rain. It never missed a beat all weekend. I just don't ride it enough anymore, so it needs a caring new home. Everything works as it should. The bike needs nothing but a new home. This is not a cheap bike, but the buyer will not be disappointed .As usual, there is no warranty, expressed or implied. The bike is for sale as is, where is. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. I must have cash in hand before the bike, its title, or a bill of sale will be transferred. The bike is also advertised locally. I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells before a winning bid has been placed. Once a winning bid has been received, the auction will continue, and the local sale will end.If you need a test ride, you must provide a valid driver's license, with MC endorsement, full cash price, and your own riding gear. I will give you a ten minute, no damage warranty. If the bike is not as described, I will give the money back. If you damage the bike in any way, wreck, scratch, whatever, it is your bike.I will be glad to answer any questions. Thank you for your bids.
