This is the rare one! 1968 Suzuki T500 Cobra The original flagship of the Suzuki lineup The bike made its first appearance in 1967,wow a twin cylinder 2 stroke ! arguably the first Japanese super bike . it was lightning fast and reliable as a stone bridge. critics said it couldn't be built,but it was and it stayed in the Suzuki line up for 10 yearswhat i like about the 68 T500......it has many unique features.....only year with 60"s styling, such aschrome tank panels and knee pads,valanced front and rear fenders,swede like seat....awesome 34mm carburetors,metal battery cover and clamp on mirrorsalso without any doubt the fastest of any yearThe bike you see here is , one of my finest restorations , the paint is a perfect match , the seat cover was duplicated by hand by world class Daryl Waller in New Zealand and the bike only had 2500 miles on it when we began the restoration!Lets talk about the engine , well at 2500 miles you wouldnt expect much wear.....your right , there wasnt much wear ....all gears look brand new the crankshaft was re sealed by crank master John Balducci ......the he is done with a crank, his tolerances are are so precise , the engine is noticeably smoother than stock! the clutch plates are brand new Suzuki , the cylinders have a fresh bore and we used genuine Suzuki pistons rings bearings and gaskets ....the engine covers were professionally buffed and polished if you look at all the hardware .....you will see that it looks new, because it is nos suzuki.....and if we didn't have it, we replated the originalthe original chrome was stripped and then triple plated....it looks stunniongLadies , you can us it as a mirror!we also paid close attention to the wheels, the rims were triple plated chrome, the spokes are brand new Suzuki brand new wheel bearings and seals .....and the tires are brand new IRC with the correct vintage treadsuper rare nos tachometer and speedometer have been installed i can go on and on, look at the pics restored to original glory a beautiful 1968 T500 Cobra! any questions feel free to call Paul 860 828 1771 state of ct, will not title a 1968 motorcycle, it will be sold with a state of ct bill of sale
