The Z06 was introduced in 2001 with fewer improvements. Only the 2002-2004 Z06 models have all the fun enhancements. And all other 1997-2004, fifth generation (C5) Corvette models have the LS1 Engine and standard suspension. Z06 EXCLUSIVES: LS6 Engine with higher compression ratio pistons, more Horse Power and greater Torque. 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. Quarter Mile: 12.471@113.96mph Suspension and curb weight upgrades: 42 pounds lighter in curb weight making it the fastest C5 Corvette with a 188mph top speed due to a 1:1 ratio sixth gear, and able to pull higher G's on the skid pad. The Z06 also has a 2ft tighter turning radius, and has Spun cast aluminum wheels and this one has the $1500 magnesium color upgrade. The 2002 Z06 also has the Titanium exhaust. Everything is 100% factory original and stock with all OEM parts. I upgraded the Master air-flow sensor and air-filter for an additional 25 HP and better performance for this altitude. I also installed an after market Stereo CD/SD/USB with DVD flip-up flat-screen with hands-free Bluetooth interface. The coups and convertibles are amazing, but If you want top-of-the-line performance, then the Z06 is the right choice. If you want the only true American, track-ready production-race-car, this is it.
