This a 1998 BMW 528i with a very rare 5 speed manual transmission! For sale with no reserve! Which is very rare on a 528i E39! This is a 1 owner car and has been in California all its life with ZERO rust! This car is in good condition for its year and it runs strong and well! The owner of the car became paralyzed and could no longer drive it and that is the reason for the sale. The interior of the car is in pretty good shape. All of the interior features and buttons work great. The driver’s seat has some wear on it. I have replacement seats for the front two and I can give it to the winning bidder if they want it. One of the climate control buttons fell off and I have it and don’t know how to put it back. The climate control and the button work great just the button came off. The right rear does not open, I don’t know why and haven’t looked into it. The interior smells nice and clean with no weird odors. The headliner is nice and clean and the carpet is in pretty good shape as well with no major blemishes. The exterior of the E39 is in pretty good shape. The paint shines like it just rolled off the factory assembly line. The car does suffer from dings and dents and paint blemishes here and there. I have taken detailed pictures of the blemishes and they are towards the end of the photos. All the lights, windows and glass are all crack free. The sun roof opens and closes but when closing you have to do it slowly as something is in the way. I am not sure what it is. The sunroof does not leak. Overall I would say the exterior is in average shape for a car from 1998. Mechanically, the car is sound! The clutch feels strong and feels great. It has brand new front brakes. The car drives straight as an arrow. All the tires look like they are in good shape. The car does not leak any fluids when it is parked. There are no warning lights on such as check engine, or ABS. The engine does not shake or make any weird noises. Mechanically, the car runs great. I am so confident in the car, I would not hesitate to drive it to New York tonight. This car is in good shape for this year. E39 528i with a manual transmission is pretty rare and this car has a lot of life still left. The only reason for sale is because the owner became paralyzed and the car just sits. The car has a clean California Title and is currently under non-op statues with no back registration or back fees. This car has been in California all its life so no rust or body rotting issues at all. I have explained the car to the best of my knowledge.
