Here for sale in El Paso ,Texas is this 1958 Chevrolet Del Ray. This is a very complete car that runs,drives,and stops. This is NOT a fully restored car. This car is a PROJECT that needs restoration. If you are looking for a fully restored car, then please look somewhere else. You can find one for $30,000.00 and up here on ebay. This Del ray is a pretty rare car. Despite the fact that this is the only year for this style of car, the Impala, Biscayne and Bel air were mostly sold in the Chevrolet line. This Delray has a few new parts and does run and drive with working headlights, brake lights, turn signals and horn. It has a 350 4 bolt engine with an aluminum intake, 4 barrel carb, H.E.I. with an Accel super coil, New radiator, electric fan, new fuel pump, new oil and filters, new shocks in front and rear, new coils in front and rear, new driveline (drive shaft) new master cylinder and 2 new front tires. This Delray has a turbo 350 automatic transmission that shifts smooth.It also has a Sony stereo system. This Del ray has very rare vintage Keystone Rogue aluminum wheels . All glass is original and intact. The person who sold me the car told me the engine was rebuilt,( but he had also told me the car was last driven 6 months prior to me purchasing the car from him.) When I brought the car to my shop, I found that the fuel tank was bone dry and the brakes had no fluid at all. The plugs smelled of rotten fuel. It seems to me that this car had been sitting for more than 10 years. With that being said, I finally got the car running and driving. The more I drive the car, the better it runs. It still needs to clear up to run great. I do not believe a word the seller told me, but Again, this car is still a project car. This is Not a fully restored car. This is a very rare car that needs to be restored back to its former glory. This car has rust in the usual places like the trunk, floors and rockers (please look at the pictures) Frame is solid on the car. This is a rare find, and is selling at a really good price. Anyone who makes an offer lower than my asking price will buy the car WITHOUT the Keystone wheels. I will put rollers on it for transport. The choice is yours !
