Vehicle Detail

This car is a joy to drive and is full of all kinds of high performance features. It has a 333 HP inline 6 mated to a 6 speed SMG (sequential manual transmission) that can be driven like a manual transmission with the floor shifter or paddle shifters on the steering wheel. It also has a fully automatic mode with no shifting required. These are usually only found on a few Porsches and 100K plus Mercedes AMG models. The M series is BMWs performance line. More horsepower, more responsive steering, performance brakes, performance suspension, and more. The 3 series line has a near-perfect front to back weight distribution which leads to top-notch handling. This car includes: •3.2 L 6-cylinder with 333 HP and 262 lb-ft torque•SMG Sequential Manuel Transmission with Floor and Paddle shifters•Sport and Luxury Shifting Modes•ESC (Electronic stability control)•ABS (anti-lock brakes)•TRAC (Traction control)•Electric Locks and Windows•Electric Convertible Top Like New•Heated Power Leather Seats•Tilt Wheel Steering•New Continental Rear Tires•New Vented/Slotted Disc Brakes•Air Conditioning•Harmin Kardin Premium Sound System These cars are capable of delivering 300,000+ miles. The key to longevity is proper scheduled maintenance. It is best to replace the parts that wear out on a routine basis rather than getting hit with big repair bills when things break as a result of lack of maintenance. You can have proper maintenance done at a BMW dealership but any good mechanic familiar with the car should be able to do it for considerably less money. The cars that have the maintenance performed have far fewer issues than the ones that do not. These are high performance cars that require certain parts to be checked and/or replaced occasionally. They are well built and can provide many years and miles of trouble free service with proper maintenance. This is a high performance meticulously engineered machine. It is meant to be driven and needs routine maintenance at certain intervals. You don’t want a Garage Queen that sat for 10 years with 30,000 or less miles. Some of the items like the injectors and other precision parts can gum up and cause the engine serious damage. These engines last the longest when they are driven on a routine basis and have routine maintenance performed. They run and age best like this. The majority of maintenance on my car has been done by BMW dealerships as you can see on the Carfax. That’s a pretty good assurance it was done right. I would take a 12 year old BMW M3 driven an average of 7,500 miles a year with good maintenance records over a 12 year old BMW M3 that was seldom driven and possibly sat for years at a time. This is a true performance car, more so than the standard BMWs and way more so than Toyotas and Hondas. They are a joy to drive if cared for properly. My car has a great Carfax. The previous owners spent the money to have the factory maintenance done at BMW dealerships. It was only driven an average of 7,800 miles a year. It only has 86,000 miles on it and is tight with no squeaks and rattles. It steers straight and true with no pulls or jitters. The ride is “Top Notch”. That is the result of good care and routine maintenance. The car needs nothing and is ready to enjoy. Many European vehicles like BMW and Mercedes drop like a rock over the first 10 to 15 years of ownership which makes this M3 that originally cost close to $70,000 quite affordable now. The best value is to find a WELL MAINTAINED model on the low end of the depreciation curve. You can check some of the maintenance on CARFAX. New M3 models are over $70,000. Some come with free maintenance for a set time period. You pay for new ones with heavy depreciation, especially in the earliest years of ownership. Much higher than average. Don’t get hurt by the depreciation curve, take advantage of it. Why suffer the daily boredom of driving a Toyota or Honda when you can drive the true Ultimate Driving Machine for under 19K? Why dump $40,000 in a new BMW 330i that is not near as fun to drive and will probably lose close to half its value in 3 years? Why dump $70,000 in a new BMW M3 that will probably lose half its value in 3 years? You can buy my 2006 M3 for under $19,000. It has excellent maintenance charts. Also it has new slotted vented disc brakes and new Continental rear tires. I am not a salesman or broker, it is my personal car. No trades, scams, or foolishness. I don’t need help selling it. I don’t really want to sell it but I have too many second cars. It is a diamond in the rough. Hard to find highly desirable clean cars with maintenance records like this one. BMW, M Series, Mercedes, AMG, Porsche, Jaguar, European cars
