1967 MERCURY MONTERY CONVERTIBLEVery cool car NO RESERVERunning, driving very solid car and body is very straightYES, this car was on ebay last week and did not reach my reserve - so here it is again with NO RESERVE- high bidder gets itThis car was owned by an older man who parked it in shed when it was still a daily driver. He was planning to restore it. Some years went by, he had a stroke and it sat then for several yearsThe shed roof was leaking and ruined the seats Water sat in the rear floor which is where the only substantial rust is. It did not spread to front floors or frame or anywhere else. Water puddled in rear floors(lowest level) and rusted through. A basket ball sized hole on each side.Roof frame is intact but vinyl roof is done for.No putty on this carFrame is completely solid and original -No rustAll upper and lower fender wells, rockers etc. are solid and no rotDoors close like new and fit beautifullyBottoms of doors have no rustWe hot wired the 390 to start it on a fuel bottle and it sits and idles and runs beautifully. No smoke or knocks, raps or valve taps. Runs great. We moved it around and seems to shift to all gears nicely, fluid is not burnt.
