Vehicle Detail
This baby is a limited edition Sportside / Stepside pickup with low miles. She has averaged less than 7,000 miles a year with nearly all highway miles; apparently a two owner truck. I bought it at a steal for $2200 when it was auctioned off with a damaged right rear bumper. The rear bumper is incorporated in to the stepside bed with the bubble fenders. The insurance company felt it had to put an entire new bed on the truck which caused them to decide to sell it at a salvage auction. Being a long time car guy I immediately recognized its value. The rest of the truck was in great shape and all that was needed was some fiberglass repair of the corner bumper. I drove it 300 miles home without a problem. I was required to have a full state inspection on the truck to get it re-titled. In doing so, replaced all the brakes. I found the original owner who says he upgraded the 350 to a 383 in 1998 at 95 thousand miles. I re-placed the 4 speed overdrive trans less than 1,000 miles ago (warranty). This is a great truck with great performance, special 18" wheels and staggered wide tires. the original owner dropped the truck 4 inches with special spindles and a Professional C sectioned frame. I didn't want it that low so I flipped the axle and placed air shocks and lift spacers on it to return it to a great height. I love the truck and am forced to sell it to pay some bills. I wouldn't hesitate to sell this truck to my brother....it has easily another hundred thousand miles or more to go. P.S> I love the Pop Up locking bed cover. It's worth $500 alone if you don't want it.
