This Luxury Sedan was totaled out by the insurance after the engine locked up while driving down the road. We got it into our shop put it up on the lift and after removing the engine oil pan saw that it had a broken connecting rod. Apparently what happened the owner drove through a water puddle on the road and splashed water up into the engine air intake. The piston couldn't compress the water so it broke the connecting rod. We found a Lexus serviced replacement engine with under 30k miles. A local mechanic replaced the engine and after a through test drive we are pleased to report that this LS 460 runs & drives smoothly, is mechanically sound, and has no dash warning lights on.
