I bought this vehicle new in 1985. Has valid New Mexico title - CA DMV assures me there is no issue transferring to CA buyer. Posted photos of vehicle show partial canvas top and lumber rack - I also have the original fiberglass cap and roll bar. Body is in reasonable shape considering the age. Photo of rust by windshield. Crack in windshield extends across entire window. Some dents, other minor rust along wheel wells. Interior is well-worn. Fold-down back seats. Rear area missing paneling. Cracked driver side rear view mirror. Missing floormats. Engine runs well, passed CA smog test 11/10/17. Recently installed new battery and alternator, headlights, replaced u-joints. Exhaust system was replaced in 2012; less than 1000 mi. driven since then. Tires have acceptable wear. Major mechanical issue: front brake calipers frozen; rear main seal has leaked oil onto brakes, which has burnt on causing brakes to grab. Est. repair cost $1600. YOU CANNOT DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AS IS! IF YOU BUY THIS VEHICLE, YOU MUST TOW OR TRAILER IT! I don’t want to put anyone’s life in danger. Starting bid = $1000 because that's what the vehicle buyback program will give me.
