Vehicle Detail

This is a Dodge Demon Recreation...it was originally a Duster. When you buy a Classic Car off the internet you never know what you are buying. And most of the time when you get it back home these are things that have to be fixed and a lot of items not disclosed that end up with time down and more money out of your pocket. So you buy a great "A" body for $8- $12k and then have to spend another $5k to finish it and sometimes more than that. I build these cars for a living and the cost of sheet metal replacement and paint is expensive. Doing it correctly metal work on a Classic Mopar can run you a easy $12-$15k. So, why not simply just buy a finished car that when you get it home, you simply drive it and keep it clean? Put tags and insurance on it and that is you biggest issue. I ran this car a few weeks ago and it got up to $12,100. And simply this car, the work in it and it's condition it is not going to be sold for $12k. I looked at some "A" bodies this past week at Cruzin' The Coast in Biloxi, MS and the ones for sale and the ones that actually did sell at $10- $15k were not even close to this one. This Mopar is IMMACUALATE ! The time, effort and materials was put into this car to build it as a Real Demon. You do not need to trailer this one, drive it anywhere. Show off and have some fun. This is built strong but not to crazy so it is a very streetable Mopar that will sure hurt the feelings of some Chevy, Ford and rice burner owners. The 360 is well over 300 HP and will light up the tires when you have the need for speed. To start with the body of this car was mint. It was garage kept and out of the weather. Original Floors, Trunk Floor, Quarter panels, fenders and hood. This is a Metal car not a bondo bucket. One small ding along the quarter by the trunk lid.It would take me 8 pages to list all of this so I am going to try and compile it all into this ad. Engine. It is a low mile (9000) solid built 360 . It is .030 over and has KB 10:1 compression pistons. Block has brass freeze plugs. The block was milled .008 The cam is a Lunati Solid Flat Tappet Cam. Heads are "894" with 2.02 Intake and 1.60 Exhaust Valves. 3 angle grind on the heads with Bronze Guides, Teflon stem seals and H.D. Valve locks. Heads are ported. (I have all the receipts from the machine shop to show exactly what has been done to this 360)Intake manifold is a high polished Edelbrock with a 650 Double Pump Holley sitting on it. Ignition is Mopar Performance Electronic. Cooling system is done through a Champion 3 row aluminum radiator and the water flow is by a Mopar Performance P5249558K Aluminum Water Pump Kit 1970-Up SB-Mopar 6-Bladeimpeller. The meat on the car are Brand New B.F. Goodrich T/A Radials, 295/50/15 in the rear and 205/60/15 on the front. They are mounted in Brand new Weld Racing Wheels.Suspension system has Mopar Performance Leaf Springs and has the US Body leaf spring relocation kit to accommodate the 10" rear wheels. Uni Body is tied together with subframe connectors. Exhaust is through Dougs D 453 Metallic Ceramic Coated Headers going into a 2 1/2 inch exhaust system through flowmaster mufflers. Brake system is a Front disc and is ALL Completely new from end to end. Rear Brakes are all brand new, brake lines are new, Master Cylinder and Booster as well.Steering system is new, ( Ball Joints, Tie Rods, Idler Arm, control arm bushings) This is a A/C Car . Starting and Charging system is excellent and so is the wring harness. Interior is re-done with Legendary Interiors Black seats, Black Dash pad, carpet & Headliner. All New Metro Weather strips, New Trunk Mat and it still has the original mint bumper jack. Dome light and all Gauges work. New Autometer liquid filled Temp and Oil Pressure Gauges are installed for dead accurate readings.Stereo is a Alpine AM/FM/CD with removable head and Alpine speakers. All the chrome and trim is undamaged and shines like brand new. EVERYTHING on this Demon works. The speedometer is off some and I am sure that is the speedometer drive gear. Door's open and close with ease, windows roll up and down smoothly...this is about like buying this car brand new in 74.
