If you are looking at MB Diesels. this is the one you want!!! This is a 1984 in pristine condition. While it does have a few non critical items that one could correct(which I will mention), they do not detract from the overall condition of this car. This is an original California blue plate that was shipped from Germany after the original owner had toured the German countryside. It was then fitted with US spec headlights & bumpers. There have been 3 owners, and all of us lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. The car was garaged always by all three owners, and looks as if it has never spent a night on the street. There is no oxidation anywhere(paint or metal), and the paint & rubber is almost perfect. I have 4 different MB diesel models, and now that I am retired, it's time to let a couple of them go. The engine & trans are very sound without any issues whatsoever. In the 3 1/2 years I have had the car, I have only changed fluids & filters, glow plugs, battery, flex dics & front brake pads. The car is tight, handles perfectly with no squeaks or rattles, & stops on a dime. I drive each of my cars at least once a week to make sure that no leaks develop. These items would need attention to make the car almost perfect.........The radio is the MB original that needs a code to operate(second owner never got it from the first). If you know someone who is tech savvy..... The cruise control does not work & the A/C blows cool, but not icy cold. The rear window tracks could be lubricated, but all windows are of course operable. There are a few light scratches & very minor dings, but these do not detract from the gorgeous nature of this car!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will be the nicest non show quality car of this vintage you will find!!! SHE IS A REAL BEAUTY!!!!! Good luck on bidding!!
