We purchased this car from Vasek Polak Porsche Dealership in 1999 with 8,750 miles. Car is located in Hermosa Beach where it has always been garaged. Smog check and registration renewal paid up through September 2018.In 2003 when the car had 34,850 miles and was still under warranty, Porsche replaced the entire engine. The 6 page list of what was done at the Porsche Dealership includes “remove and replace complete engine (they uncrated a new engine) and remove and install transmission.” That means the engine has only 44,100 miles. The IMS bearing was likely why they replaced the engine, but if it was not, the new engine would have incorporated the improved IMS bearing.Major service in 2015 at 75,000 miles, and two weeks ago I had the oil changed, the brake lines flushed, and installed a new battery. New front brake pads, rotors, sensors at 74,600 miles. Aligned and straight. Nearly perfect interior. A/C blows ice cold. Non smoker. Includes hard top.
