THIS VEHICLE COMES WITH A WARRANTY I have been an auto mechanic and restorer for 40 years so I know cars inside and out and am also well aware of the huge risk and fear of buying a car without driving it, therefore, I am going to offer a 7 day or 500 mile warranty on the engine and transmission. This will be in writing and provided at the time of the sale. It will warranty the engine, transmission, alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and the differential. If any of these items fail during that time I will either repair them or pay for the repairs if you are not local or will refund the entire sale price of the car as my option. AD DESCRIPTION My apologies for the rather lengthy ad, however, I think that someone whom is considering buying a vehicle, especially without seeing it in person, and from a person they don't know, should have as much detailed information they can about it and the seller. I see no point in posting copies of the original Ford Brochures like some people do possibly trying to make their vehicle seem better than it might actually be. If I like it, it's yours, however, I already priced it well below what others are asking and below what other similar ones actually sell for. In fact, I just sold a nice identically optioned one with 74000 miles on Ebay last month within 4 days of posting the ad for $6400.00 and this one is even nicer.. EBAY FEEDBACK AND SELLER INFORMATION Ebay feedback is extremely important . I have received xlnt comments from others whom have bought cars from me and most of the cars I listed have sold prior to the auctions scheduled end date to buyers that used the "Buy It Now" feature. I am not a dealer . I am merely selling off a large collection of cars we have had for years and some of our relatives cars that don't have an Ebay account, however, I am a mechanic and professional vintage Muscle car restorer and some of the cars I built sold for world record prices at Barrett Jackson and other venues so I know cars extremely well. SHIPPING If you live out of state and need it shipped I can help with that. It costs around $1000.00 to the East coast including Florida and New York. Pick up time is around 3 days and delivery time is around 5 days. It will stay on the same truck until it gets to your front door. I do not use shippers that transfer vehicles from one truck to another. GENERAL DESCRIPTION This is a one owner vehicle and has never been smoked in and is probably just about as nice as you will ever find one unless you happen upon a flawless cream puff that has only been driven by a little old lady to church on Sundays. It is in xlnt cosmetic condition overall with no excuses. There is an extremely faint "ghost" image where the facility that owned it removed their decals but it doesn't even show up in a photo as you can see by the ones I posted, and you have to look very hard in just the right light to see it s most people would never know it's. This will probably polish out but since it's nearly invisible I didn't bother trying to. It runs and drives like brand new and the air conditioning truly blows ice cold on 100 degree days and will freeze you out if you leave it on high. The engine never runs hot. It does not smell like an old used ash tray or a perfume air freshener or old spice after shave inside. It is an original Southern California vehicle that has been serviced regularly and has never been stored near the ocean or driven on salted roads etc, which partially accounts for the very nice condition it is in. It has the original title and has never been transferred and it is NOT salvaged. It also has a clean Carfax/Autocheck report which I can email to anyone that is interested in seeing it. PHOTOS Please look at the photos closely and compare them to any other car you might be interested in. Unlike many other peoples photos, all the photos I take are high resolution so you can see more detail and have a better idea of the true condition of the vehicle be it bad or good. I also take photos of areas that most others don't take including close up engine and undercarriage photos. OPTIONS It is loaded with the usual power options including air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors , cruise control and tilt steering wheel etc. It also has a factory AM/FM CD player and everything works properly. The wheels are the optional aluminum ones. I also have the complete build sheet which I obtained from a local Ford dealer and posted photos of. FUEL ECONOMY Contrary to what you may have heard, not all suv's get terrible gas mileage, in fact, this exact model gets a real world average of 18 mpg and some people have gotten as much as 21. SERVICE HISTORY It has always been inspected and serviced as per the Ford service guide. MANUALS It has all the original manuals and safety cards. EMISSIONS TEST It just easily passed the stringent California emissions test. SAFETY WARNING LIGHTS There are no lights on and no pending codes in the computer. CARFAX I use Autocheck because it is more accurate and detailed than Carfax and there have been no accidents. ENGINE COMPARTMENT There are no leaks and the entire engine compartment looks nearly like it just rolled off the showroom floor including the paint on the firewalls which usually gets faded and dingy looking. UNDERCARRIAGE PHOTOS I merely sprayed the bottom to get the dust off of it, then I spent around 30 minutes wiping down the rear area with a "Quick Detailer" product and posted a few photos of it to show how clean and rust free the underside still is. As can easily be seen, it looks nearly showroom new and clean enough to eat off of. The entire undercarriage would look nearly the same if I wiped it down as well. INTERIOR SEATS - It is in very good for a 12 year old vehicle. The seats are a very nice tan colored cloth. There are no tears or holes and the drivers seat foam is xlnt and not mashed down from having a heavy person sitting in it. There are a couple small and extremely light/faint dirt marks in a couple areas from typical use but it they are nearly impossible to see and not nearly bad enough to bother us so I never tried to clean them. The first two seat photos are of the drivers seat bottom which always gets the most use in any car, and as can be seen, it looks nearly new. All the other seats look equally as nice and I will try to post photos of them in a day or so. There is a small scuff in the back of one of the rear seats which I took a photo of but it is not all the way through the material. HEADLINER - The headliner looks like new. The dash and door panels are very nice and are not all scratched up. The steering wheel is xlnt and is not dried out on the top from being exposed to the sun. CARPET - It looks nearly new with no wear marks or stains etc. It has always had floor mats in it and there was a little were in the drivers floor mat so I replaced them all with new original factory floor mats and no one has ever put their feet on them. SCENTS - Since it was never smoked in it does not smell like an ash tray. It also hasn't been "deoderized" with the smell of cheap perfume or a scented "Air Freshener" fob that hangs on the mirror etc. EXTERIOR BODY There is a very small ding in the center of the passenger door around 1" in diameter and around 1/16" deep that a paintless dent removal person could easily remove for a nominal fee, however, it is so small you have to look hard to see it and it didn't show up in the close up side view photos so it really isn't worth fixing. There are no waves or ripples in sides of the body as can be seen in those same photos which I posted to to show how extremely straight it is. There is zero rust and it has never been driven on salted roads or stored near the ocean where the salt air could corrode it. The undercarriage is also very clean and not caked up with mud or oil or road grime etc and there isn't even any glaringly obvious surface rust anywhere on the bottom side. PAINT All the paint is original and it still has a very nice shine and there is zero peeling, lifting, or fading. There are only a couple extremely small, extremely light scratches and miniscule chips, but nothing nearly big enough to be easily seen or detract from the general appearance as you can see in the photos. The door jambs are also very clean as can be seen in the photos. The bottom inside edge of the doors looks showroom new. TRANSMISSION It has the heavy duty 5R55E five speed auto and it shifts very crisp and solid in all the gears just like it did when it was new. BRAKES The rotors are smooth and not heavily grooved from wear and the vehicle stops perfectly straight if the brakes are applied hard from 50 mph with no hands on the steering wheel. STEERING AND SUSPENSION AND CV JOINTS They were just inspected for wear and nothing was out of spec. There are no obvious klunks or rattles when going over bumps or small pot holes etc and there is absolutely zero play in the steering wheel. If you move it just 1/4", the vehicle starts turning. There is no noise from the CV joints when the steering wheel is returned to full lock in either direction even in 4 wheel drive mode. OTHER RECENT SERVICE The oil was just changed with Mobil 1 extended life and the filter is a new Wix which is far superior and more expensive then the factory Ford one or a regular Fram. PAYMENT Unlike other Ebay items which cost far less, nearly nobody accepts full payment for a vehicle through paypal or through a credit card for several reasons and I am no different.
