Vehicle Detail

96 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE For sale is my 1968 Mercedes-Benz 250SE W108 sedan. It has a 2.5 liter 6-cylinder engine mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. This car runs and drives very well. It has had extensive maintenance in the 5 years that I’ve owned it and would make a great driver. I’m a mechanic at a local shop that specializes in foreign cars, and I have spared no expense in making this car a reliable daily driver. The engine fires right up, idles smoothly, and has great oil pressure. The transmission shifts very well, and the car goes down the road great. In the last year it’s had: -Full tune up with spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap, rotor, new Bosch ignition coil, and Pertronix electronic ignition conversion. -New NAPA battery -Oil change -6 new fuel injectors -New main fuel filter and pre-filter upgrade -Transmission fluid service with new filter -New oil pan -4 new Bilstein shock absorbers -New tie rod assemblies, steering damper, drag link, and sway bar links -Rebuilt power steering pump -Re-sealed power steering box -New driveshaft center support with bearing -New brake master cylinder -Full brake job with all new rotors, ceramic brake pads, and new brake hoses -New front wheel bearings -New rubber fuel lines -New power steering hoses-New engine mounts The radiator and water pump were replaced when I purchased the vehicle in 2013. The tires are Hankook Optimos and they all have great tread. The A/C worked, however I removed the compressor to convert it to a more modern rotary style compressor. I still have the old York compressor. It will be included with the sale. I also have several spare parts for the vehicle that will be included. The car is in really nice shape inside and out, needing only some light cosmetics to make it absolutely perfect. The paint is believed to be all original. The floor pan is excellent with zero rust. There is some slight surface rust on the lower rocker panels that could be easily repaired. There is also some on the lower part of the fenders, but again it’s easily repairable. The passenger door has a blemish that could be easily painted. There is also a dent in the driver side rear door that could be easily popped out. Overall, this is a really solid example of a W108 sedan. It just needs someone to do the last 10% to really make it absolutely perfect. Note: This is nearly a 50-year-old vehicle. I have tried to disclose all information; however the buyer will assume their own risk in bidding on this vehicle. Feel free to ask me any questions or see the vehicle in person. A $500 deposit will be required within 48 hours of the vehicle sale.
