This is a running, titled example of an increasingly rare model Honda; the CB 500 twin cylinder with double overhead cam. I had purchased this bike for a restoration project but loosing my storage / work space so it has to go. Comes with an untitled frame and front end with engine that needs top end work, bucket of small parts, and shop manual. The good: Bike starts and rides. Clutch and transmission work properly and there are no ominous engine noises. Tail light, front brake light, turn signals work. Brakes work. Wheel rim chrome in good shape. Clean MD title. No tears on seat. The Bad: The bike has been dropped and has numerous scrapes and dings as shown in photos. Not shown are scrapes on master cylinder cap and front brake lever. Headlight ears not original. Headlight getting power but not working. Rear brake light switch needs replaced. Front brake spongy and rubber brake lines perished as are tires though they hold air. Small holes in right muffler. Bike has the usual corrosion of unrestored Hondas this age. Carbs and ignition will need tuning before engine will run as well as it should. The reserve price is less than the value of the bike in parts alone! Would make a great winter restoration or café project.
