You are bidding on a 1989 Suzuki GSXR-750 in the traditional Suzuki blue white color scheme. The second generation GSXR750 was nick named slingshot, and is considered by many to be the fastest and most refined oil cooled GSXR750. In 1988, Suzuki released the 2nd generation of their legendary 750 Gixxer. It was dubbed the “Slingshot” due to the slingshot carbs. A year later, Suzuki made some minor revisions, yielding the bike you see here. Changes for 1989 included different cosmetics, a revised rear shock, different gear ratios for 3rd, 4th, and 5th, a 5mm increase in the wheelbase, and more. The 749cc in line four DOHC engine of this bike produced 106 horsepower. This particular GSXR is in excellent condition and is mostly original. VIN# JS1GR77A7K2102022. All of the body panels are original and in good condition, there are no major cracks or major nicks anywhere just some very light scratches here and there. The windshield is original and in very good condition. The exhaust was upgraded to a Yoshimura (sounds awesome!) The front turn signals were changes to the low profile version, and K&N racing filters were added to the Mikuni flat slide carbs. I do have the original tubes for the original air filter, they will be included in this sale. The bike is pictured with the solo seat and without rear foot pegs, but I do have those parts and the will also be included. The rear seat and rear pegs have been used and have normal wear and tear, but are very presentable and are in perfect working order. The wheels have been professionally powder coated and are in great condition, look like new. The bike always starts easily and runs great! This bike is super fast, incredible power, with very strong acceleration. All of the electronics are functioning properly, lights, turn signal, horn e-start, speedo, tach all functioning properly. The bike was recently serviced by a professional mechanic, basic tune-up was performed along with fresh oil. Also the top end was professionally rebuilt last year, all valves were addressed and new rings were fitted to the pistons, everything was cleaned up and reassembled with all new gaskets (this was performed due to oil weeping from one of the gaskets). Now there are absolutely no oil leaks at all. Theres just over 30,000 miles on the clock, but this baby was very carefully maintained, and with the recent top end work she will run well for many miles to come.
