Beautiful Black on Black Boxster Spyder. With under 1000 imported to the US, this model represents one of the rarest production cars made by Porsche. This introductory year, 2011, is the lightest Porsche production car at only 2,810 pounds. The car needs to be repaired. The original owner smashed into a tree almost dead center in the front. As a result, the frame rails are mostly intact with suspension involvement limited to left front (the front sub-frame and left front control link made of forged aluminum are broken). The car has a salvage title but is an easy fix. See the photographs provided. The car is located in Carlsbad and is available for inspection any time. Health problems prevent my finishing this project. I have many of the parts needed for restoration including the proper 987 front clip available for purchase. The car has all the desirable features and options including: high reving 3.4 liter direct injection engine producing 320 Hp, 6 speed manual transmission, standard limited slip differential, aluminum front and rear lids and doors, lightweight top assembly which lowers the car's center of gravity approx. 1", lightweight carbon fiber sport bucket seats, sport chrono option, special lightweight 19" wheels made specially for the Boxster Spyder ( Porsche's lightest production wheel), factory lowered suspension, speed humps on the rear lid reminiscent of the original Spyders and the more recent GT and 918 models, and special lightweight top mechanism to name just some of the features this car offers.
