Unique and special rare 280ZX Turbo!. This is a two owner, low-mileage car that has a nice patina on its mostly original paint. The doors open and close properly, the hatch fits tightly without any squeaks or rattles. Trim pieces are in equally good shape with no signs of fading from exposure to the sun. The gray interior remains in very good condition throughout from the carpets, which show only light use, to the seats that show only modest comfort marks in the high-wear areas. There is also an Autopower 4-point roll bar. NO dash cracks whatsoever!! T-tops that do not leak! The undercarriage is clean and there is no sign of structural rust, although the hood could use a respray to blend better with the rest of the car, probably due to engine heat. Now for the unique part -- it has a Jim Wolf 350hp kit and a NOS installed. So, who knows how much hp this car could really put out? Way more power than most any other Z of this era out there. I bought this car from an estate last summer and have been in contact with both the widow of the former owner, who had owned the car for about 30 years, and the mechanic specialist who did the additions for him. He said these performance additions were carefully and correctly installed so that they could be easily removed if someone so desired. The car also has the original correct turbo wheels. I had a new clutch and battery professionally installed to the tune of $2,500. While not a show car -- this is a very respectable driver and/or performance oriented fun car. Gets lots of comments whenever I'm driving it. Car runs great and just craves the open road where it can be opened up! Car is currently registered in Massachusetts, where I live most of the time, but is garaged at our family home in the coastal San Diego area, where I spend a week every couple of months.Please Note: Car is not a California car and has never been registered in California.
