77 BMW R100RS First year of the RS model with very low original miles. I believe I’m the third owner but have only put a few hundred miles on the bike. When I purchased it, the bike had just come out of long term storage (approx. 20 yrs ) Since I’ve owned it, tank was thoroughly cleaned inside (still has nice red factory coating) front shocks were completely rebuilt along with front brakes and new battery. All fluids changed and it had a complete tune up and valve adjustment as well as newer tires. Runs great with nice acceleration. Shifts as should through all gears and clutch is very responsive. The mufflers are aftermarket from Germany which give it a throaty sound, but I will also include the original stock chrome mufflers with the sale. Krauser hard bags are nice with no cracks and latches work properly. All the gauges work including the clock. Starts easily every time. I have several other early airheads and simply don’t ride this bike very often and could really use the space.
