You are looking at a Gorgeous! Super RARE! 2001 – Speedway White (SW) Chevrolet Corvette Z06. It has less than 37,500 miles on it. Only 352 Speedway white z06’s were produced in the c5 body style. Of the 352 SW cars, 215 were made with all black interior and 137 were made with the mod red/black interior. The one you are viewing comes with the mod red/black interior. This is a fantastic example of an unmolested rare corvette that is bone stock except for the wheels and shorty antenna. The car is fitted with Chrome z06 wheels which look awesome. However, I have the original RARE argent gray Alcoa wheels , not the Speedline wheels, that are in excellent condition along with the original antenna mast. I will give the new owner the choice of either the current chrome z06 wheels or original wheels at time of purchase. I purchased the vehicle from a Chevrolet dealership in southern California in February of this year. It was a one owner car that was traded-in for a new z06. I am the second owner. The previous owner was a retired physician who purchased it brand new. I was fortunate enough to speak with the original owner and he told me that it never saw rain, was always covered in a garage, and was his baby. It is gorgeous! He was kind enough to send me the original window sticker which will come with the car along with the original manuals and brochure. It will also come with the original tire inflator kit in the trunk, as the c5 Z06’s did not come with a spare tire. The kit was missing the actual air canister, however I purchased a NOS one on Ebay for what I consider a small fortune for a can of air and the original kit is now complete. Drive train: It is all bone stock with no performance modifications. The engine compartment is beautiful. The motor is the LS6 5.7 liter v8. The specs for the motor are 385 HP with 385 ft/lbs of torque. It is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission (M12). Mechanically, everything works great as it should and DOES have the steering lock bypass installed. The performance is very impressive and the air conditioning blows ice cold. Interior: The mod red/black interior is gorgeous! I am a very picky person. I would rate the interior an easy 9.0 out of ten. It looks like no one has ever sat in the passenger seat. The reason for the 1 point deduction is that the driver’s seat show’s some very MINOR wear. (See pics) Body: The body has never had any paintwork of any kind and is beautiful! I would rate the overall body appearance an easy 8.5 out of 10. (Probably higher, but I'm picky). It is not free from imperfections, but it looks awesome! It has some tiny tiny rock chips along the bottom of the body from never having mud flaps, but you have to look real close to see them. Also, there are 4 small holes underneath the vehicle from a 4 post lift. This happened while the original owner had the vehicle. You cannot see them unless the vehicle is up on the lift or get way down and look underneath. I was going to have them repaired, but you really cannot see them when the car is down. I decided not to do any paint work to the car because of its originality. Extras: Some extras that will come with the car.
