History: From what I have found, there have been five owners including myself. Here is a list of them. 08/06/1973 - J.D. bought car new from Arcadia DatsunArcadia, CA 12/1977 - Bought used by D.C. Seal Beach, CA 09/1980 - Bought used by D.H. Westminster, CA 10/1987 - Bought used by M.Z.Chicago, IL 05/1998 - Bought used by meChicago, IL Exterior: Paint looks good. I can't tell if it's original, but since it's been in Chicago paint hasn't been touched. It shows well. The Datsun wording on the passenger side is missing. See pic. Also, the Datsun wording on the hatchback moves up and down. Dings & dents: There are some small, and I do mean small, dings on the car. The largest is on the top of the hood. My fault I dropped something on it. But the dings are smaller than a U.S. dime. See pics There are a few dings here and there, but none are very big. Please look at pics. Rust: Car came to Chicago in 1987 and has NEVER been out of a garage in late fall or winter. Floor boards are rock solid, as well as bottom of the car, wheel wells, and bottom of rear doors. See pics. Car is rust free and solid. Tires: Tires are old, but still have some life to them. Rims are aluminum and in good shape. Trans: 5-speed trans, not original to the car. The trans came off a Z or ZX that was new and totaled. Trans has MAYBE 25-30K on it. Interior: The inside is very nice. Carpets were replaced by the owner before me. Seats are in great shape, no rips or tears. See pics. Door panels are in great shape, as well as all panels on the interior of car. See pics. The dash has a 4-inch tear on the drivers' side. See pic. There is no radio. There is a power antenna, but I don't know if it works. All gauges work, except the clock. A/C came with the car, but it didn't work when I bought it. Repairs: The previous owner put a lot of money into the car. All receipts are included. Since I've owned the car, I put in all new U-joints, a new master cylinder, and a new battery. Lights & horn: They are not working presently. Not sure why. Contacts? They were working last summer when I moved the car from storage back to my house. I bought two new headlamps that will be included in the sale. They are not installed. I have described the car to the best of my ability and included photos that help illustrate my description. They best way to see the car is in person. You will not be disappointed. It's really a great car and a fun ride. This car deserves to be driven and enjoyed, not sitting in my garage. I hate to see her go, but it's time to let someone else enjoy this beauty. Please email me with any questions. The Fine Print: This car is 44 years old. It is solid and runs fine. All funds must clear before the car can be picked up. On Jun-29-17 at 19:13:18 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: An eBayer requested some pics of the underside of the car. So I took them with the help of a light. I found some minor rust. The floor boards are solid, as is the bottom of the car. But towards the front of the drivers side, the undercoating has peeled and you can see some rust. The underbody is still solid, but I wanted everyone to be aware of what I found.
