Vehicle Detail

I have a very special 1964 Chevy Impala SS, matching numbers, 327, original paint, 2 owner car for auction. If you are looking for one of the most sought after cars to restore or drive, this is the car! This was a car port find, purchased by the original owner right here were she resides in New Bern NC. THE STORY The car was driven daily by a little old school teacher lady, for the majority of the cars life. The second owner, (Mr. J), used to see her driving it around town and knew the car well. When she passed her son, had big plans for it and stored the car for years. When Mr. J found it, it was covered with a tarp and he knew exactly what car it was hiding away. Mr. J proceeded to ask the son if it was for sale. At the time he said no, but later on he got in contact with Mr. J and decided to sell it to him. Mr. J got it running and driving, and then he decided he was going to restore it, but like most of these cars, he parked it under a carport, to restore, life happened, and that's where she resided for the last 12-15 years. (i put up one picture of what it looked like when I found it so you can see what i am talking about.) The car runs and drives, It is the original paint as you can see the primer in some spots. I have the original intake manifold for it that I will throw in with the deal. Mr. J, had an unoriginal 2bbl and intake on it, that I took off. To get it started after so long I gave it a tune up, (points, wires plugs ect...) put on the new aluminum Holly intake manifold, brand new 4bbl Edelbrock carb, and valve covers. I also bought 2 new back tires as well. So she runs and drives but she still needs to be dialed in. HERE'S WHAT SHE NEEDS Brakes don't work, they are not locked up but they are going to need to be gone through. E brake works good. Yes, it has some rust as you can see in the pictures, remember she sat for years. I posted a picture of what she looked like when I found her. I give the interior about a B-, dashboard has no cracks, so that is a bonus. Its going to need a radiator, because like all these old brass ones, she leeks. This is a great 64 because of the originality. I am auctioning the car off AS IS! Thanks for looking On Jun-21-17 at 03:21:42 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE Just want everybody to know this car is very cool, I don't want to turn anybody off about it. I know the history and it has a great story and all, but keep in mind the car has been sitting for 12-15 years so yes this car has rust, yes she smokes some. She hasn't been on the road in years, please make sure you look at the picture of the trunk, that is the worst part. In my opinion this is more of a rat Impala and it is priced as such. If you think that the car needs work, you are right it does. If you want to talk more send me your number and questions and I will get back to you ASAP. I also have a quick video I can send as well. thank you Brad
