Vehicle Detail
Car 93 R1 Miles on car 104,000 Miles on motor approx 3,000 Motor built by Pettit Racing Overview Car is street legal and will probably be the fastest street legal car you have ever driven. I have built the car to maintain the sequential system and have as much power off the line as possible. It was built with no expense spared. I wanted the fastest car in SCCA SM2 class. It has placed as high as 3rd at the Pro Solo Championships in Topeka. As well as 5th and 6th at two different National Championships in Topeka. The car has a number of top 3 finishes in the National Tours and Pro’s as well as one National Tour win. The car puts out over 400 hp at the wheel, and weighs in at just over 2,600 lbs. Engine management is Apexi PFC programmed for two settings race fuel and street fuel. Choose your weapon. Race fuel is 100 sunoco fuel. Street fuel is 91-93 octane. Both programs have been set up by a professional shop to provide stress free driving. When It was my DD I just ran setting #1. When I went to the track, depending on the type of event I put in Sunoco 100 octane and changed to setting #2. This is what the RX7 was meant to be. Some people saw my previous dyno chart and thought it was from a V8. Do not confuse this car with the single turbo dogs. They are ok when you finally build up the boost. However by the time they do build the boost you will already be at the next corner looking at them in your rear view mirror. Last street race I had with this car was against a motorcycle. I won but at over 160 mph. I have also raced built Supra’s. By the time the supra had full boost I was looking at him in my rear view mirror. This car is built for speed and to handle. With the current rear end gearing I anticipate top speed to max out at approximately 140 but will get there faster than my race 2002 zo6 corvette. My suggestion is if you want this to be a great daily driver to put 3.9 gears in the rear. However then you will need to work on ero parts due to the limit would be approximately 180-200 mph. 4.10 rear would put it back to 160-180. There will be no disappointments with this incredible street/race RX7. I have over $75,000 invested in the car and additional items. No expense was spared in building this car. I have tried lots of parts and replaced them with better parts. I guarantee that you will never drive a faster or better handling RX7 than this one. I did not build this car to put out the most power, or to look the best. It was built with the sole purpose of going from corner to corner as quickly as possible as well as to go around a corner as fast as possible. If I could save weight and be within the SCCA rules for the class it was done. If I could improve the performance both down low and on top with no single compromise for what it was designed to do, it was done. I am sure there are things I am missing but I don’t remember. I have spent a lot of time and effort to put this car back into its current condition which is far better than when I purchased it and far better than any other RX7 you will ever come across. If you intend to make this your DD and want everything you would need to add windshield wiper reservoir and plumbing from reservoir to hood, then nozzles in the hood. Wipers work, but the reservoir or plumbing was not required. I have not had time to put it back in yet. Car does not have AC. In Idaho I never needed it, and it was not required for racing. If you look up Allan Densmore SCCA RX7 you will find pictures as well as how I did at that event. I have not driven it in years since I have another car. I have spent the time to restore the car better than when I purchased it. I am now driving something different. I hope you love this car as much as I have. Most people do not know what kind of car it is due to the flared fenders in the rear. If you'r interested in buying the car my wife did some video of the car running, with a run up and down the street. Car sound great, can hear the blow off valve, etc. I am not very computer literate so we used a phone to do it. Send me your email and I will send it to you directly. On Apr-24-17 at 16:54:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to add. Brand new tires both front and rear. 285/30/18 front, 315/35/17 rear, tires have less than 1 mile on them. Great car but not perfect. My wife said to tell people the paint is not like a new car paint job which is true. New paint but still imperfections. I can say the car looks better than when I purchased it though. I would say exterior is a 9 out of 10. Interior is 9 out of 10. Exterior could be improved to make perfect, interior could also be improved to make perfect. Also have extra parts for car if interested. See allansrex for coil over set up, and extra fuel reservoir. I also have a Sparco Evo seat with full harness and lap belt for drivers side as well as Sparco Evo passenger side as well as Kirky aluminum racing seat passenger side. I had the Kirky in the passenger side to save the most weight and I did not care about passenger comfort. However all of it is for sale if want to add back to car. Car is sold as is. I also have it for sale on rx7club as well as locally. Remember guys, this is the RX7 that you want. You can buy it here in Florida and drive it home. Don't let this one pass you up. If you want to hear and see video, I do not know how to put it on ebay, please provide your email and I will have my wife send you video and audio clip. Previous winner did not make the deposit in time, thus it is relisted. Please do not bid if you do not have the finances in place. Additionally if you want to bid please contact me first. I do not want people bidding that never pay. Please contact me if you have any questions. Note: Some pictures in driveway the car does not have fender vents in yet. They are in now and were painted to match. Other pictures you can see them in.Also airbag light is on due to racing wheel. Not an issue. If you want stock wheel with airbag I will trade the racing momo wheel for stock steering wheel with airbag. Also pictures of rear compartment were before I added brand new, made for the car beautiful black carpeting. Thus now it has the new carpeting in it.Also AVCR is not hooked up. I use the power FC. You can hook it up or put in a radio. Power FC does everything needed, no use for additional wiring. Also Braile battery is brand new. Large enough to start a corvette so a 1.3 ltr motor is a breeze.
