Up for auction is a 1996 GMC Sonoma SLS, which features aluminum wheels, an 8' bed and a/c, which works! Engine is a 4 cyl 2.2l and its a 5 spd manual trans. Truck has a brand new clutch and flywheel with less than 50 miles on it.It was a top quality clutch kit, which came to $900. New Brakes, front rotors, left and right abs sensors, newer battery, new engine computer, and tuneup. Tires are in good shape with lots of tread left. Newer exhaust system. Engine starts up and runs great with good power. All fluids look good and the coolant is clean ( no head gasket issues). New speed sensor. Truck starts, runs and drives nicely. All the gauges in the dash work EXCEPT for the speedo and odometer. Look at the pictures. A few lights are on and I was told that its related to the speedo not working. Its most likely not the cluster, but a loose/ corroded connection in a wire harness. I cleaned all the grounds. All the hoses and wiring looks good. Speed sensor is getting power; around 5 volts. I had an OBD II code run and it is saying to replace the VSS, but I just did. I have lots of money sunk into this truck and it should be a simple fix. It does not have current inspection, because of the speedo. Also, has a small fuel leak near the filter. It will pass in NJ with the brake lights on. I cant afford to take the time to fix it, so my loss is your gain. Good luck and serious bidders only. No reserve! Ask questions prior to bidding!
