Vehicle Detail
Please read 1st!!! This is NOT a $10,000 rebuild. If that's what you want, this is not the bike for you.Up for auction is a 1974 Honda CB350F. It has been stripped down to the frame and rebuilt as a cool little cafe'ish rip-around bike. Some of the original parts have been reused so there are a few "age spots" but here's what's new-Dynatek electronic ignitionLithium ion batteryNew coils, wires, caps and plugsSeatHeadlight and tailightClip-ons and gripsThrottle and clutch cablesShinko front and rear tiresChain and sprocketsClutch friction platesPod-style air filtersRear shocksFuel petcock Mac 4-into-1 exhaustFork gaitersFront master cylinder, caliper and pads Here's what's new'ish--CB400 rims (painted spokes)CB400 rear brake drumCB500 gas tank Clutch actuatorPistons, rings, rods and cylindersCarbs cleaned, rebuilt and synched Bike is electric start only, with hidden starter button under seat. There are no turn signals or horn, just bare elecronics. Charging system has been completely updated but is running at break-even voltage. I will keep working on trying to figure out the issue but please bid accordingly. My knowledge of these old systems is limited! Bike has clear Michigan title. North Carolina makes it too tough to register old bikes. Please ask questions before bidding as all sales are final. Bike is for sale locally and auction may be ended early if sold here. Thanks for looking & happy bidding! On May-29-17 at 12:31:10 PDT, seller added the following information: I've been playing with the charging system a bit more. I believe the lithium battery (which is a very small one) is not enough to provide the full power needed to push the charging voltage into the positive. I hooked an external power source to the exciter coil and the bike climbed to 13vdc with all the lights on. I'm trying to make sure all the info is on the table before the auction ends.On May-31-17 at 05:36:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I have ordered a larger battery for this bike. It will be included at sale along with a battery tender and leads. If that doesn't fix the charging issue the bike may need a higher output stator to bring it into the green
