Relisting as a local sale fell through. Please note I can hold the vehicle for two weeks after sale, even if paid in full. Please be prepared to pick up the car . I will help with arrangements where possible but it is ultimately up to the buyer to pick up or ship. Up for sale is my beautiful '97 328i. This is one of the nicest E36's I have ever seen. Well maintained, NO RUST, never driven in winter, never smoked in etc etc. I bought it last year to have as a daily driver. I have had a few of these cars over the years and I could not pass up such a low mileage gem. Unfortunately the car seat does not really fit in the back seat, so I need something bigger. It's for the better really, I don't know if I could have stomached the kid barfing on such nice leather.This is the third E36 I have had, and by far the nicest. Anyone who has had one knows they are comfy, fun to drive, and easy to maintain. This one was originally from California, and moved to Darien with the family I bought it from. I am the second owner.The interior is fantastic. The Grey leather sport seats are so much more comfortable than the regular stock seats. They offer almost as much support as the M3 seats without looking so silly. The leg extenders really make a big difference for anyone taller than 5 foot. There is a scuff on the drivers bolster, but its in an odd spot that doesn't risk spreading.All the electronics work as they should, sunroof, windows, lights etc. The radio display light is a little dim but still readable. The paint is in very good shape. Clear coat is not faded or cracking. There are a few dings here and there, and the passenger mirror has a scrape on the edge. Just cosmetic stuff you would expect on a 20 year old car.I have replaced a few things that normally need replacement on these cars. The radiator, reservoir and fan clutch were done last fall. This spring I replaced the front control arms, bushings, links and gave it an alignment. They weren't in bad shape but looked original! The car is definitely much tighter now. I did not do the struts / shocks as they are very new looking Bilsteins. I also replaced the drivers seat recline gear, very typical fail on these cars.That's all I can think of for now, if there's anything else I'll add to the listing. My loss is your gain here, I really wish I could keep it. This is the last iteration of the last real 3 series. This car will last a long time without much maintenance. E36's were built to go 200,000 miles with ease, unlike the newer models which become electronic nightmares at 60K. If you are local I encourage you to come look at the car. A $500 non-refundable deposit paid through paypal is due within 24 hours of auctions end. The balance is due within 1 week of auctions end and pick-up of the vehicle is due within 2 weeks of auctions end. I need the driveway space and will not hold the car until the buyer comes to visit their sister in September. I will not ship the vehicle but if the buyer requires shipping I will assist where possible. The vehicle is being sold “as is” “where is” with no warranty implied.
