Vehicle Detail

2003 VW Eurovan GLS 141k miles This has been one of the most head turning cars I have ever owned. If you want to blend in, this may not be your best choice. I can honestly say that every day I am out in this van, someone is giving a thumbs up or snapping a cell phone pic as I roll down the road. It is my second Eurovan project and I use them for work and errands and wanted something a little different than the typical vans out there. My previous one was a wild orange color and this time I went with a more subdued theme but it still stands out on the road as it looks unlike anything out there. The work I did on this particular Eurovan was shared on a popular VW forum I am a member of and can be viewed following this link : VW Vortex thread I am a full-disclosure seller of anything I sell and have taken many photos to show the car in much detail. I will note everything I know about this van so the buyer has the appropriate expectations of what they are buying. I have owned it for 2 years now and in that time have done many things to it and also, I have several things I never bothered to address. First and foremost , from most important to least: The good: -The transmission on this van has been perfect. Absolutely no hunting, no shudders, no missed shifts. I bought this Eurovan to replace my previous project van which had a bad transmission so I was aware of the issues when looking for its replacement. This van has no transmission problems at all. -New shocks and new lowering springs 2 years ago -New rotors and brake pads all corners 2 years ago -Original Porsche alloy wheels with Porsche wheel locks and key included -No rust on the vehicle. -The heaters have always be stellar. Front and rear units are in great working order. No climate control flap issues on this van. -New Euro tail lights and headlights are crystal clear and give a nice updated appearance. -Oil changed every 3 miles I have owned it (I bought it with 125k miles). Full synthetic each time. -Clear title in hand. -Remote key fob works to lock and unlock doors. Extra fob case and extra key included. -Small vial of touch up paint included with integrated brush. The not so good: -The van absolutely needs new tires now. I would not recommend a buyer consider the vehicle something they can buy and drive across country. At highway speed , the vibration of the tires is annoying for anything more than a couple hours. Under 60mph, a surprisingly smooth ride considering the low profile tires and limited suspension travel left since lowering. Also, these vans only came 4 speed transmissions and at 75mph, the rpms are about 3000 and the gas mileage is maybe 17 at best. -The van has a check engine light on along with a rough idle. Always has since I bought it. I had it looked over when I originally bought the van 2 years ago and the codes from the van reported a bad cam position sensors. Replaced it and the light still remained on. The idle is rough, kind of a misfire flutter, but above 1200rpm it runs perfectly. No problems when driving at all. -The A/C worked last year initially after I repaired a relay that commonly goes bad. As of right now the A/C is not working again. Might be a relay again or otherwise but I can say that the A/C compressor worked great before and the system never needed a freon charge last year. -Drivers side headlight low beam does not work. I have a new bulb in there and can get it to illuminate by jumping the fuse under the dash but never permanently made the fix. I have been using the new headlights on high beam al ways and pitched them to not be a bother to oncoming traffic. No one has ever indicated my lights were too bright. -Windshield has a small chip. It is out of your line of sight and it hasn't splintered in the past 2 years. probably never will. -Interior on this van is intact, but as I use it for all kinds of errands it has its fair share of stains and spots. No tears or excessive wear, just needs a very thorough shampooing. In my last van, I removed the seats and carpets completely and steam cleaned them. It just takes an entire day I haven't done it to this one yet. -The sliding door will not lock and unlock with the other doors. I have to manually do that one. May be a actuator or door connector. -The muffler failed last month and I replaced it with a resonated tip and pipe only back to the secondary resonator. No drone on the highway but does have an aggressive rumble at lower speeds. -The shocks of the hood do not hold it open. Please let me know if you want to come the van in person and test drive. It really does look amazing in person. These vans are such a blast to drive. If VW offered the new T6 here in the USA, I would have one in my garage right now! $500 deposit via Paypal within 48 hrs required
