Vehicle Detail

Unique and special rare 280ZX Turbo!. This is a two owner, low-mileage car that has a lovely patina, which is a hallmark of all genuinely original cars. The doors open and close properly, the hatch fits tightly without any squeaks or rattles, and the big hood with functional NACA ducts latches with a gentle push instead of a slam. Trim pieces are in equally good shape with no signs of fading from exposure to the sun and all the bright work (what little there is) remains bright and shiny. The gray interior remains in very good condition throughout from the carpets, which show only light use, to the seats that show only modest comfort marks in the high-wear areas. There is also an Autopower 4-point roll bar. NO dash cracks whatsoever!! I have not seen any visible body rust, but the hood could use a respray to blend better with the rest of the car, probably to due to engine heat. The undercarriage is clean as well. Now for the unique part -- it has a Jim Wolf 350hp kit and a NOS installed. So, who knows how much hp this car could really put out? Way more power than most any other Z of this era out there. I bought this car from an estate last summer and have been in contact with both the widow of the former owner, who had owned the car for about 30 years, and the mechanic specialist who did the additions for him. He said these performance additions were carefully and correctly installed so that they could be easily removed if someone so desired. The car also has the original turbo wheels that are also hard to come by now. I just installed a new clutch to the tune of $2,300. The car has been lowered about an inch and sits extremely well with the original T-tops that do not leak. Miscellaneous spare parts also included. While not a show car, this is a very respectable driver and/or enthusiast performance car. This 280ZX is truly unique! I've only had the opportunity drive it under 500 miles in the past eight months I've had it. It needs to be driven and enjoyed. Car is currently registered in Massachusetts, where I live most of the time, but is garaged at our family home in the coastal San Diego area, where I spend a week every couple of months. *BIDDERS WITH AN E-BAY HISTORY LESS THAN '10' MUST CONTACT ME DIRECTLY BEFORE BIDDING OR I WILL CANCEL THEIR BID. **CAR IS ALSO FOR SALE LOCALLY AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY IF IT SHOULD SELL OUTSIDE THE AUCTION.
