This Honda XR185 is almost all original and has matching serial numbers.No title, only a Bill of Sale. Honda only made this model for one year in 1979. This bike is the predecessor to the popular XR200 which started in 1980. Has lights and speedometer with an over-size odometer reset knob. Even a high/low beam . Bike is not street legal. Last of the duel shock models, steel tank, rubber mounted handlebars, rubber mounted footpegs and front seat mount, and rubber mounted aluminum skidplate, grab handles and chain tensioner. Has a 2" extended aftermarket "White Brother's" aluminum swing-arm with needle bearings and grease fitting. Also,has aftermarket S+W shocks with 9.5" travel. Front forks have a long travel kit with 9.5" inches of travel and D+G air fork caps, new Honda seals, flushed and polished tubes with Redline 10w fork fluid. I also installed new "All Balls" tapered roller steering head bearings, and a set of Fly Flex Aero aluminum handlebars with new Pro Taper grips. SuperTrapp exhaust with spark arrester and 5 plates. 58 tooth aluminum rear sprocket, 15 front oem. new Honda oem foam air filter, carb rebuild kit with one size larger pilot and main, new 4.10x18 rear Chen Shin tire and new tubes. The seat is big, tall, comfortable and in perfect shape. The fuel tank has one small dent on the top and had rust pit holes in the bottom. I Caswell epoxy sealed the inside and Marine-texed the outside and then did a terrible touch up job. Anyway, it doesn't leak. Header guard is missing, but not needed. The buffers on the chain slider and tensioner will need replacement soon. The front tire is a Metzler and has plenty of tread but old. The skid plate has no dents. All maintenance is complete: brakes shoes and cams cleaned, spokes trued, wheel bearings and seals lubed, swingarm cleaned and lubed, cables lubed, valves adjusted (.002 in .003 ex) carb cleaned and rebuilt, new plug, synthetic engine oil, Needs nothing... Bike run great, shifts great, handles great with plush long travel suspension. Would make a great super senior post vintage hare Scramble bike or a very nice trail bike.
