Vehicle Detail

1984 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler Project I've been getting a lot of interest and questions about the Jeep. Here is more detailed information. The Jeep was my daily driver before I took it off the road to start the restoration. The body mounts were relocated to match the fiberglass tub because I didn't want to use the flimsy adapter that came with the kit. The motor mounts were also welded up for the V8 conversion. The frame was then sandblasted to bare metal and had 3 coats of frame epoxy applied, so the frame is rust free. The tub was mounted, doors, fenders and hood hung. Everything was skim coated and ready for sanding and paint. The hard top is in excellent condition, one rain gutter has a slight crack in it which is the only issue, side windows slide/lock, screens are good and rear hatch opens, closes and locks as it should. The motor I bought new and the transmission was rebuilt with the AD output shaft installed for the conversion, so zero miles on both. The Jeep has been primarily stored indoors and when it was outdoors early in the restoration process it was always covered. Some more information per request: Everything including the A/C worked properly before the Jeep came off the road for restoration. Keep in mind the A/C was set up on the Jeep I6 so you'll have to modify the set up but its all there, compressor, evaporator, blower motor, vents and controls. Advanced Adapters is a company that produces a transfer case adapter for Chevrolet V8 Jeep conversions to mate the motor and transmission to the stock Jeep transfer case. So the Jeep's drive line is the V8 motor, TH400 transmission, Advanced Adapter transfer case adapter and the stock Jeep transfer case. You can either have the front drive shaft lengthened and the rear shaft shortened or have new drive shafts built to your specs. The fiberglass tub did not come with any accessories. The stock tail lights can be used (which are included) or any type of custom LED or conventional tail lights on the market. The springs are Rough Country 4" suspension lift so no blocks to achieve the extra ride height. I have the stock Jeep tilt steering column and a custom Ididit billet non tilt column that is temporarily installed to maneuver the Jeep around. Included are all the stock interior and exterior parts, gauges (which include stock AMC tachometer and analog clock), mirrors, door hardware seats & seat brackets, etc. I also have a rear seat, black seat covers for the front and rear, (original interior was brown), custom made rear carpet and wheel well covers, aluminum valve covers, steel and fiberglass tailgate, new and original fender flares, 1 original brown and 1 black dash pad, stock wiring harness and a new harness that's GM from the firewall forward and AMC from the firewall back for the V8 conversion and a whole bunch of other custom billet interior accessories. I hope all his information helps. It's definitely a time intensive project but for the right person a huge payoff. I'm out of time, money and need to vacate my storage space. The opening bid is what I paid for the motor. My lo$$ is your gain. Thanks for looking and bid to win. 1984 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler Project Rolling chassis with 4WD Incorporated fiberglass tub, which has been skim coated and ready for sanding & paint. 83K Original miles. It's got a 6 point frame mounted roll cage, Racing Head Service 320HP 4 bolt small block Chevrolet V8, Rebuilt TH400 automatic transmission with the Advance Adapters tail shaft installed to mate it to the Advanced Adapters transfer case adapter and AMC transfer case, full hard top with sliding side windows with screens & steel doors, factory AMC A/C, 4" Rough Country Springs and has newer 35"x12.5" BFG All Terrain Radials, (only mileage is from rolling it in and out of the garage and storage.), on American Racing Aluminum wheels. Frame, axles and transfer case are original. I've got all the other sheet metal & some fiberglass parts too, Drexage Tilt nose hinge kit for the original steel nose, all the original hardware, a new wiring harness and a bunch of other assorted custom parts for the engine/interior/exterior. Original drive shafts need to be modified. The only things missing are a windshield, (which got broken when I moved.) and a carburetor because I was considering throttle body fuel injection. The Jeep is currently in a storage unit and available for inspection. I am very motivated to sell, have $15K invested as it sits in parts & labor and have a clear title in hand. Email with any questions and thanks for looking! *All Sales Final**No Returns or Refunds* On Mar-29-17 at 15:01:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Note on picking up the Jeep. It has to be picked up at my storage unit. The facility is located about a mile or so from Interstate 95 North or South and will accommodate a semi-trailer or any other type of vehicle/trailer combination. I will coordinate with the winning bidder to meet either them or their shipper to retrieve the Jeep. Please keep in mind there will be boxes of parts, front fenders, hood, grille, window glass etc., that will need to be packed as well and most of which may not fit inside the truck.
