Vehicle Detail
This little convertible car is quite unique and original with factory removable hardtop. Body with original paint is super straight. It only has 47000 mi and is a one owner California car. Paint and body obviously need work. It will run showing over 60 lb oil pressure on startup. The brakes and clutch master and slaves need work. Transmission is tight and shifts cleanly . Doors and trunk open and close perfectly. The floors and trunk are solid. Frame members are solid but the rocker panels are shot. Exhaust is shot. Wheel wells are good with only surface rust here and there where rustproofing has flaked off. Bottom of doors are showing some rust but no holes. Trunk lid is execellent, bonnet is rough at the front edge. The worst rust on the car is in the front upper apron around where the hood hinges are (some holes thru the metal). Lower vailance and area around the grill sure good. Original interior is all there and actually in not bad condition execept for the carpet. Door Glass is execellent and windshield has no cracks or delamination. All gauges appear to work and will cleanup nicely. Clock not working. Engine compartment is all original. Nothing has been tampered with right down to all original fasteners chrome, lights etc. car includes original equipment Spare tire, Hubcaps and rings, Hardtop, Convertable top and frame (see pic), Jack and some original tools (superslim) and drivers manual included. All suspension/shocks seem fully opporational with no leaks, steering is tight. Can't say enough about the originality. I even have the original key fob and keys (printed with Roots Co.) Hardtop alone is worth the initial price and could be used on a series 1and II. Excellent rust free bonnet available at extra cost. Hardtop could be sold separately if requested prior to bidding. soft top and frame looks hardly used (see pic).
