Vehicle Detail
1962 Pontiac Tempest / Lemans nice driver. Cleaned up engine and rear a few years back. Car looks to of had a repaint back in the 80s sometime. Good 5 footer. Factory 195 engine, 4 barrel carb, all matching numbers. Many new parts over the last 10 yrs. 3rd owner. Registered with PHS. Clean black interior front and back. In need of a new top. Many extra small spare parts to go with it. The car has some blemishes here and there, but who doesn't at 55 years old. It never really bothered me. True miles today - 55,062. Second set of 2 ply tires that I haven't changed yet. (scary) I only go local driving. Still needs a little love put in her that I haven't got to yet. Put in a new electric fuel pump in the back by the fuel tank, the mechanical failed on me one night before a show. Works well, a little noisy though. Slight trans fluid leak coming from the pan gasket, but runs out fine. Haven't gotten a chance to change the $14 gasket out yet. No real issue other than that. The interior was redone using the same original set covers, new carpet, new door panels-hand made. Various rubber all around the car. New windshield back in 08. New shocks all around, control arm bushings, radiator, carb by National Carburetor and many other parts. Made a small patch to the floor board on the drivers side back in 2008, very solid floor other wise. Has some small rust starting to show on lower quarters, under doors, and front of hood. Car still looks good. It's not a top winner show car by any means at this point but, has good potential with a little more work. The car is sold as is, as described. Low reserve is set with a buy it now price offered. Feel free to ask any questions. Good luck On Mar-04-17 at 06:11:00 PST, seller added the following information: The reserve has been slashed even lower, as well as the buy it now for the remaining time of this auction. Open to offers. Good Luck!!!!
