I am putting reserve of $5000.00 on this van. You can get that back just by stripp the new parts of and reselling. I bought this van 2 years ago and have been fixing it when I found a newer Sprinter. I am moving across country so this van needs to go. Here is the negative, and I am being as honest about the condition. I will be losing thousands on this van, but I need to cut my loses and move on. This is a 2003 chassis with a 2004 motor. The motor was installed and I drove away. The turbo blew in Oklahoma and I had it towed back to the same shop to fix. The guy was a liar and idiot. I paid $9,000 for the van and it was delivered to as a running truck. I made the mistake of trusting a guy who swore he could So after 16 months I found a good mechanic who has fixed 95% of the problems. It still needs a mass air flow box, according to the stealership, (est $1100?) and the valves need adjusting. The motor has a small knock and due to the air flow issue, the turbo will not engage every time. I have dumped another $7,000.00 in parts and labor this past fall to get it going. Here is a list of the new parts that have been installed. These parts have less than 100 miles of use.New turbo.$700.New injectors.$1500.New fuel rail and sensors.$1240.New wire harness.$700.New air and fuel filters.$85.New cam and crank sensors $270.New turbo resonator $80. Tires are good. It drives very well. You will NOT find a deal like this very often. Ask me anything and I will respond.
