Vehicle Detail

This is a real treasure bike! A super clean, low original miles 1983 Suzuki GS1100E. The bike prepped and brought to perfect riding condition by John Wilson the GS guru at Akron GS Works. I got this bike and the other (see my other listing) GS1100E from John a while ago and am selling both of them. Like the other bike, this one has nice aftermarket add-ons like the filters, jetted and tuned carbs, and the very very cool MotoGP Works aluminum exhaust that costs close to $1000. This is a true 7K mile original bike with minimal work done to bring it to a reliable daily rider. The gas tank is mint/clean and not corroded. Has new tires, all new fluids and everything works like it was brand new. Bike also has expensive (and new) Shorai lithium lightweight battery and ATK fork brace. Everything else on the bike works as new. I would give this bike a solid 9.5 out of 10. It is a great bike that you can ride right now cross country and back. John does a ton of small mods to the ignition system, charging system and bike to address some of the long-term issues these bikes had. John is one of the country's foremost GS experts and this bike was a special one that I got from him. I paid about $7500 for it and don't expect to get that all back, but it is really worth it. NOTE: I collect and play with tons of vintage bikes for a HOBBY. Inevitably, I sell some. Of the 8-10 bikes I've sold, my reputation is impeccable. Recently I learned a tough lesson in that I sold my prized 4k mile GSXR1100 to a guy out west for $9,900. The bike was shown and described perfectly and was an amazing 4K mile original survivor. I spent $3500 getting the bike from a barn find to a running pristine bike, all work was related to sitting for 25 years, not restoration needed, just mechanicals, tires, ss lines etc. The bike was awesome! When he got the bike he demanded $2000 because of things that he claimed were not shown. He was looking for a brand-new museum bike, not a 30 year old bike that had 4k miles on it and was a 99 out of 100. I offered to refund his money in full but he demanded that I pay his shipping there and back (about $1500). He left negative feedback. The only one I've ever gotten. The killer thing is that my local bike shop, who had done all the maintenance on the bike, wanted to buy it when he learned I had listed it on ebay, but I told him I had to honor the auction. I made the mistake of giving him good feedback when he paid (with a personal check and a week late). After I left feedback he was a jerk. When I ddnt pay him his blackmail, he slimed me with negative feedback. By the way, he kept the bike so he wasn't that upset! I have no way or redressing his negative feedback so I decided to attach this note to any bike I sell going forward. Sooo, after having been burned by a dishonest buyer, I am adding this caveat. "This bike is sold as is and where is. The photos accurately show the true and authentic condition of the bike. The bike is available to be seen at Adrenaline Cycle 2555 Gar Hwy, Swansea, MA 02777 508-379-0100. The bike is in their showroom for the winter with the other GS I am selling. Justin runs the shop there and can show you the bike in person.
