Vehicle Detail

Unit is in running condition. Have applied for a title and the bike is legally plated. The engine was seized when I got it. I have replaced the cylinders and installed new reproduction pistons and rings, standard bore. The transmission is a 4-speed, which makes me think it's 1967'ish in a '69 chassis. The tires and tubes are new, as is the drive chain. The clutch has not been changed, but pulls strong and does not slip. The carbs have been cleaned and rebuilt and the petcock and fuel lines have been replaced. Bike has Uni serviceable air filters. Most of the cables have been replaced. The seat was in pretty rough shape, but has been stripped to the pan and re-foamed. Re-wrapped it with a nice custom cover. I have installed a new wire harness. The charging system has been updated. Recently had Rick's rebuild the stator and have installed a modern regulator/rectifier, so the bike is charging nice and strong, which is no small feat for these bikes even when they were new!! Also has a new battery. Handlebars have replaced but wired internally as before. Installed new grips and updated mirrors. Now the bad- The paint is not perfect. There are a few spots on the gas tank that have bubbled. If you want a show-piece, it may need a bit of love. The headlight lens has a crack in it. The speedo does not register, but it may be as simple as a cable. The gauges have an internal short and blow a fuse when the lights are hooked up. The tank had a lot of rust inside it but has been acid cleaned and the one bad spot has been professionally repaired. I also Red Coat-ed the inside. The mufflers are 2 separate models (one is one piece, the other is 2) but they look very similar. The rear shocks have some rust on the chrome. The starter clutch was seized (common for this model) so it has been removed. Bike is kick start only. Have not been able to find the camshaft shims to set endplay, so engine whines a bit while running. I will update with any other things I remember later and can provide more pictures if requested. Will be available for local pickup or shipping at the buyers responsibility. Please ask any and all questions before bidding as sale is final On Jan-01-17 at 18:48:53 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE-- from what I've been told by several of you this bike is most likely a 1967 model, according to the tank, side covers and 4 speed transmission. The paperwork is all for a 1969 and will have to be changed if desired. I am willing to deal with the headache of making these changes if the winning buyer so desires. Thanks and happy bidding On Jan-02-17 at 06:08:22 PST, seller added the following information: Have been asked several times, so here are the chassis and engine VINs--CB4501022995 frameCB450E1020701 engineOn Jan-03-17 at 10:23:50 PST, seller added the following information: Just to keep everyone that is watching up to date, I spoke to the title office today. The genius that filled out my application listed this bike as a 1996 NOT 1969 so I am going back through the paperwork to have that taken care of. They assured me it should take roughly 2 weeks to have a clean and clear title in hand. Please take this into consideration and bid accordingly. Thanks- Jerry
