Doesn't leak but it looks brittle and will break if you try and open it Awning is broken and needs to be replaced On Nov-29-16 at 21:40:00 PST, seller added the following information: * I have a clear blue Texas title with a bond status on this van which was obtained in January-ish of 2015 having done numerous VIN checks on the van. After obtaining the title I proceeded to work on the vehicle and spend the money to get it road worthy again. Towards the end of summer in 2015 the original owner of the van contested the ownership stating she had reported it stolen in 2003. After a court proceeding it was evident that she had written a hot check to a mechanic who had gone through a repossession process. This is the same mechanic from who I purchased the vehicle from. I was in turn awarded rightful ownership by the state of the van and given a court document to be presented to the Texas DMV to have the bond status removed. Since this time, I have not gone to the DMV as I have been driving the van and already have a title in hand. Today I went to the DMV to get the bond status removed per the court orders, and evidently because this is not a normal thing Austin has to be contacted directly to get approval. I was told I would have a response in 3 business days. Regardless of the outcome I do have I have title for the van and can also provide the documents from the court and am legally the rightful owner. The bond status is automatically removed in January 2018. On Dec-01-16 at 17:47:58 PST, seller added the following information: To be clear. This is a 1990 westy. I converted the headlights with early grill and headlight buckets. I don't care for square headlights. I have 5,500 in receipts for parts and repair from getting on the road. There was more but that's what I have. This is my 2nd Vanagon, I have owned an 86 tin top for 8 years and was a daily driver for 4. I made repairs before putting this Westy on the road based on my experience with my first Vanagon.
